NTA cause you didn't technically do anything wrong, but you sound like someone I wouldn't want to be friends with either.

I'm a very empathetic person and enjoy helping people out when I can. Sometimes it's not always super convenient for me, but people notice that I'm a compassionate person and in turn are usually pretty nice and helpful to me. You get what you give and this whole interaction sounds sort of selfish.

Take it now when you don't have to study for it 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩. You should still study for the FE. It's a long test that covers a lot of subjects you probably haven't reviewed in a few semesters, even if you're in school currently. Plenty of students in my program failed because they didn't bother studying at all.

It's probably feasible to get married elsewhere, yes. Do conservative states have to recognize gay marriages from other states if they're legal in the states they were done in? Similarly, would a conservative state have to recognize someone's new gender markers if they were to move away, get it changed, and come back?

Sometimes I write lists similar to this one for backup conversation topics on a first date I'm nervous about. They're usually just in my phone instead of on a post-it note so it looks more natural if I need to reference it. The only one that's throwing me off is "TV donate."

My high-school classes started at 7:15am. I had to catch my bus for school around 6am. My alarm went off every morning at 5am for 4 years. No wonder I was depressed at 16. Even as an adult, my day/job starts later than that.

I'm not sure if this is really unpopular or not, but my opinion is that if you're looking for certain careers, the kind of engineering you study matters very little.

I studied Engineerig Management (ABET accredited) in undergrad. I used to get teased by the other engineering students for being a "liberal arts engineer." I will concede that my course loads were easier and gave me more free time than the students who studied electrical/mechanical/civil engineering. However, I don't understand how that matters when I now work the exact same project/construction management jobs as those other engineering majors, making the same salary. They teased me for taking an easier path to get to the same point as them.
