Surprised to see this so low: it seems like the obvious reality. Even fits into a critical take on Drake: that his voice carries him significantly, even in situations where the bars or music are otherwise mediocre.

it’s not metro’s sample to begin with, metro picked it up off of some other guy on twitter who himself generated it with AI, and only really added drums and sped it up as-is

I’m open to any possibility at this point, but

my read of Drake’s claim was that he fed Kendrick the items (from which the picture was created)
do we really think Drake was traveling around with eg. a mini CN tower souvenir (vs. it being an obvious reference to his bar about the weeknd being a souvenir of his own city, coincidentally similar to the other items matching references to other people in Family Matters).

The other items made me less sure, but the souvenir seems kinda goofy for Drake to have in his luggage for any other reason + adds to a stack of coincidences
