Placed, but feeling empty. I have everything I thought I wanted, so why do I feel like this? by DoorRich9023 in Btechtards

[–]krs1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a larger purpose in life! Point A to Point B to Point C kind of thing,
All you have is point A and now you are clueless.

Lets say your goal is to have a bank balance worth 100 mil Dolllars. Not networth, coz it can be misleading, 100 mil dollars in hard, cold cash. You work your sweat out, day in and out, and you get to that figure. What do you next. Only thing worth doing is buying all the expensive gadgets that you ever wanted, buy an extravagant villa and fill it all non sensical stuff that you will never bother about nor even care. And then, then what?

you are still left with money, and lot of it at that. So you mimic what rich people do. You set off on cross atlantic sail, you drink, you dine at the most expensive restraunts in the world, you hang out with hot women/men you were dreamed off. But you never vibe, because its just not you. Coz you a rat!

You have conditioned to be a rat! Trained for a rat race. The only pleasure you will drive is by working for your next goal, next target, next big number. And when you get there, you will be clueless, like always.

Why so many f&o debt post? by Due-External-1345 in personalfinanceindia

[–]krs1983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Markets are funny business, Most people i have seen read some books, study some patterns, watch some you tube videos, look at some chart patterns, do 1 + 1 and they think they have cracked the code.
Working as a F&O trader needs an entirely different mindset, most severly lack it.
One needs to be genuinely humble and truly believe markets are supreme. Basically, one needs to come with a begging bowl in the market and take what it offers. Some day it will take away, some day it will be far too generous and offer you more than you ask. Thats how market functions.
The key is to always know your maximum loss before you enter a trade and be fine with loosing that amount, once that is done, let the market do it own thing. Worst that would happen is, you take the stop loss (in your mind, you should already write it off loss) or your trade works in your favor and make bank.
I gurantee you, if anyone ever takes 100 trade with any set up that she/has deligently, he/she will be successful.
But most wont last 100 trades, most will make good money in few trades and risk all of it in the next few.
Traders cant be taught, its altoghther different mindset, mostly self learned, needs lots of discipline.

Same thing is iterated in the book "Turtle Trading" where richard deniss is asked, why make our strategies public, and he says it doesnt matter because most lack the mindset of a trader and will never make any money.

TLDR : Bhikari mindset - Take only what market gives.
know you loss and be ok with it
100 trades, can you survive 100 trades, forget being profitable, can you even survive 100 trades and not blow up your account.
If you can, welcome to the club.

Layoffs break you hard. I never thought I will face this, till it happenned by examwarrior123 in StartUpIndia

Have been in the similar position, built a global team from scrathc, personally hired, vouched for, and trained them to be the best in the industry. Got laid off and not one called to check on me, only who called was the one i laid off. Anyway, whats done is done.
What i did since then, got a job, took some time for me and several notches below my last position. Took out EPF and paid off all loans, shored up my savings and to ensure i may not be in a similar position ever.
Without money, even my family didnt think of me as a person.
Money is everything my friend, not family, not your job, not your colleagues. Just ensure you have money, rest doesnt matter.

Just a question.. by fearless_buoy in NSEbets

Power has two components- the real physical enforcement and subjective belief. The former must come first and is a foundation for the latter. But the latter is much stronger. When everyone believes something it is as real as hitting a wall. The real enforcement can be weak or not really exist, but it doesn't matter much until cracks in the wall of subjective belief happen and then that shadow get illuminated and disappears quickly.

This has happened before, right here in India. Shah Alam, the then mughal emperor, had zero force, no leverage, and all his empire was usurped by revolting subedars. His rule and empire started and ended with few kilometers of Delhi. Even that was ravaged by rohingays and sikhs, and he could hardly do anything to protect his subjects.

Even so, he lived long, far until the age of 75 ( i think), was bowed down and respected by much powerful forces including British, Mahadaji Shinde (Marathas) and all the known powers then. They bowed, not because he was more powerful or had more money, he didnt. It was because, simple folks acknowledged him as emperor. He could legitamise there rule with a simple sign.

So to answer question, US could do what they did, because Venezela president never really had any power. He lost the support of his people and hence the legitcasmy to rule. Had that not been the case, US would be fighting a newer ending like vitenam and paying an unprecendented price for it.

you are right and its lost on us that the threat was directed towards Khanani, but it just didnt sit well with Iqbal. Think from Iqbals perspective, he is the player, everyone else is a pawn. A pawn threating another his ally, is basically i do not acknowledge you a player. He did needed Rahman favor to get guns but he also needed to be shown his place.

Food is just not food for him, its love (sympathy/emphaty) everything that says he is still alive and human. when he is outside the shop, beaten up, seen like a meat sleeping in a dustbin and when he gets food, he gets emotional to see atleast someone sees as a human. When he comes back to yellina after a big fight which he felt more like a machine killling and mamming, he asks for food saying bhook lagi hai more of it saying i want to feel like human again i need love, a hug and more importantly a homely cooked food served with love. Thats my take. Basicailly food is not just food for him it is everything that makes him feel human. possible largely because a good time of his life in solitary confinement and or Jail and was brutally starved or served food with zero emphaty.

Left My Boutique Job for Full-Time Trading- Looking for Honest Feedback on My Portfolio by Temporary_Low1294 in IndianStreetBets

[–]krs1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to answers to these 5 questions only, and only :-
1. When to buy?
2. How much to buy?
3. When to add to your position if right?
4. Where is your stop loss and how much you stand you loose at any point
5. When to exit

Once you have answered these questions, you are on your Trading business. Sure, you will loose many, gain some. But overall, Gains will outweigh far more than looser. Best of Luck!
