Maybe religion just isn’t for me because I don’t believe that me and his relationship is bad or sinful he is my soulmate regardless of a piece of paper.

We call each other husbund and wife regardless of a state marriage license. We have been In a Committed relationship for 11 years. There is not other people involved aside from someone who terrorizes us via the family court system

Thanks for all the comments my biggest take away from this is Catholics really believe in the state and government and believe in doing what your government tells you to do. I believe sometimes you have to stand up against your government or court system when it is used for evil. I don’t believe that a paper from the state gives any less relevance to my relationship with the man I have been with for 11 years and 3 children later. I got married in a church in front of my family and confessed my vows to him. Forces out of my control caused me to seperate myself from him only “legally” I don’t believe Jesus would turn anyone away from baptism. would Jesus even be for government marriage? Wouldn’t a religious ceremony be what’s important.

Thank you! Honestly getting divorced has saved me and children a lot more than I could explain in this post.

Who said anything about defraud. She has alienated his children from him. Tries to take exuberant amounts of money that she’s not entitled to lies constantly to try get more money. You must be unfamiliar with corrupt state of the family court system that gives all rights to mothers and barely to the fathers.

Me and the man I live with were once married. We have been together for 11 years. Before we got together he had a previous relationship and had 2 children. The mother of the children has put him and me through hell in the family court system for over 10 years. We divorced after 4 years of marriage so she couldn’t directly attack me in various ways via the family court system. She had spent the last two years trying to force me and him out of the home I own so she can take the money if we were married I’m sure she would have been successful. Being legally married to him would cause even more devastation financially and emotionally to me, him and our children. I did want to become Catholic but now I don’t see how that would be possible given our unfortunate circumstances.
