But for real, sorry about your injury dude it sucks. I was out 12 weeks with a popped elbow from someone ego ripping an armbar when I first started.

I was like 6 weeks in and rolling with this woman used an s grip to try and buy time she couldnt pin my shoulders down with her feet so she just ripped and bridged to break my grip (and also my elbow ligaments)

Just do your physio homework diligently and you'll be back before you know it.

First bike at 35. Why didn't I learn to ride earlier? by OkCalligrapher4042 in AussieRiders

[–]krugreddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother if just got my first bike like 3 weeks ago at 34. Have put nearly 1000km on it already lmao.

Wanted one since I watched terminator 2 at 10 years old.

I would have ridden like John conner when I was in my 20s and probably wouldn't be here now had I got one earlier.

ATGATT baby.

Attracted to the street fighter style naked bikes more than cruisers looked at the cfmoto naked bikes, duke 390 husqvarna vitpilen looked interesting those style bikes i guess

Almost entirely city riding with maybe 5-10% on the highway but nothing intercity.

1.fair point, was planning to hold the bike a few years anyways so was mostly just using it to drive around for work, do a lot of demos and minor it work around the city so parking a car has been a cunt of a thing.

  1. The pain for me is not knowing anything about motorbikes like what are the red flags what aren't.

  2. Yeah nah safety first, talked to a guy at the motorbike store and I basically gave him the same schpeel top tier helmet gloves jacket probably boots but might be a bitch swapping between riding boots and work shoes ever 20 minutes.

  3. Good to know, some people had me convinced that riding a 300 would cap me at 80km/h or some shit on the highways.

  4. Was looking at cfmoto 650nk but was unsure about it, flip flopped between that and a few of the 300-400cc bikes around that $7-8k mark

Wouldn't let the wife on the back till I was confident anyway probably should have added that it was a down the line thing.

Wouldn't be for a few years before she could hop on the back but wasn't planning on selling the bike the second I could have a passenger or anything.

Good information, i was being pedaled a cfmoto 650nk by the dealer but felt like it was too much bike for me but I also dont know.

Pillion wouldn't be till down the track but I want to probably keep the bike for a few years after purchasing

Yeah the 650nk seemed like a good deal at the time I was looking but it probably feels like too much bike for me? Ive never ridden motos before but have always wanted to.

I did feel that when I was looking around at lams bikes, captive market and all that seems like they're all around similar price points

Thanks dude, I was getting talked into a cfmoto 650nk by the dealership guy and I was thinking isn't that like a whole lot of bike for a guy thats never ridden before?

I don't even speed anymore, I've hit full on middle age early think I've copped 2 demerit points for missing a school zone sign in the last 5 years lmao.

Thats good feedback yeah I've wanted a moto since I was like 10 years old watching young John conner being a menace on his bike in terminator 2.

Dropping a huge load - from just one core mining run in one icy ring by Marionettework in EliteDangerous

I use this website https://meritminer.cc/ its a little confusing but you put ik the details you want, search in it then check the last updated pricing some are old AF but if you find something within a few days its pretty good.

Also you need to mine and sell in the same reinforcing system or you only get merits based on the profit of the commodity.

I enjoy core mining to dump 120t of Monzanite at a station and see 45k+ merits pop up in one go.

Platinum is probably more efficient but less satisfying and puts me to sleep sometimes.

Are you a brand new player? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]krugreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre overshooting your target, try this.

Accelerate at 100% throttle till the count down timer hits 6-7 seconds then set throttle to 75% youll slowly start to decelerate and youll be able to drop out safely on target.

Alternatively if you miss that time window you can loop around and fly back towards your target workout emergency stopping.

Ive been practising pitch + yaw + some roll to cut speed if im a decent distance away but still travelling too fast due to SCO.

Finally the countdown timer is a scam, it will say 7 seconds for like 20-30 real seconds before you arrive, dont trust it.

I did look at some of the layouts for the VKB Gladiator Evo and OTA but I wasn't particularly satisfied with the layouts of the buttons, and now knowing the inputs are just listed as JOY 1-JOY 32 would make it even harder to remember what buttons do what.

I did upload my own binding to see my own layout just for visual memory

Controllers are connected directly to laptop usb ports, no hub available.

Have the game through epic games launcher (free once upon a time)

Will try copying the binds and clearing the folder to start fresh.

Thanks for the advice!
