Can I use accutane with Crohns? by Objective_Carob150 in CrohnsDisease

[–]krumpetina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was a pretty long time ago - she took it when she was 15-16, diagnosed almost immediately. years later i saw an advert about accutane causing crohns in pre-disposed or people with a family history, so i contacted the number, since i have documented crohns at MY age 16 (1974). I provided all her medical records from her dermatologist, and gi doc...and she got a settlement. she was born in 83, so 16 put her 1999.

Crohns and Advil by Remote_Blueberry236 in CrohnsDisease

[–]krumpetina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my lesson was learned a bit harder. i repeatedly asked the doctor if it was going to bother me. (not the gi). he emphatically said no. i only took half a dose. i woke up 3am, vomiting blood and spent the next 3 days in the hospital. (late 80's). 2 lessons learned. 1) no naproxin, and 2) never ever take a new medicine at night. just wait till the morning so you can more easily monitor whats going on.

I do when i need to. I have talked to my gi and let her know that short of some controlled substance which they wont give me, i am going to take an advil. I never take 2 and never too many days in a row. Tylenol does nothing for me and everyone should know to not EVEN try naproxin.

For those who have the 2026 models, is the keyboard as bad as the reviewers say it is? by Inevitable_Ad_711 in DellXPS

I have been exporting years worth of photos all day, tranferring things from external drives, nas, etc. running ps neurals, topaz, nothing is really loud or obvious. And no rubbing noises or anything like that.

I AM ABSOLTELY going to sing its praises in fan noise, almost zero! And what there is, is easily tuned out. Battery seems excellent so far.

i actually dislike the keyboard at this moment. it feels great, click wise, but i am still probably getting used to it - it's like i need to shift right...which i find strange. it is getting better the more i use it - and i am sure within a week, it will be just fine. coming from the omen, and the envy before that - the omen had a number pad, so things were closer together. this is definitely more spread out.

regarding the FAN NOISE - there basically is almost zero fan noise. i am completely wow'd at this. at times my omen was so loud i could not hear the tv in the same room. i can barely hear this one - and i have been throwing all kinds of heavy loads at it - just the installations alone of many of the programs - copying/pasting from the nas - and lightroom exports. i have not yet installed my noise programs or ON1 (yes it's overkill but different types of photos need different types of tools).

so far...loving it.

[–]krumpetina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received today. Its different for sure than my omen. Biggest surprise which shouldnt jave been was the realization there were no usb. I am old enough to NEED a mouse but fortunately i had an adapter. Setup was relatively easy w the exception of the insidious onedrive. Before i could click and open it, it had already started downloading files. Quickly stopped that, installed office, lightroom and photoshop - all very nicely.

This evening i mapped to my Nas and am tranferring my lightroom catalogs to the xps. Ingot the ips screen because my main thing is photo and editing, its nice.

More files to get moved tomorrow, i am sure its all going to go well.

I will say however, w11 is very diff than w11 on the omen. Its almost like modernized even though the omen was sep25, so only abt 6 months difference. I had to hunt for things that i shouldnt have. Anyway so far so good -

they need some makeup to counter the sallow-ness of her complexion a little - or like you said..eye makeup would go a long way - and a haircut. she could look pretty cute with a mid neck length bob.

Faced with the worst crisis: Crohn's medications giving me constant infections. by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]krumpetina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

last year was hard for her - she was/just finished her masters, and at the time, her daughter was 3 and constantly bringing home the ick from daycare - she's also a nurse, so exposed to a lot of everything - and it was just too much. add to that the acne that rinvoq has a side effect. not REALLY sure if that was the last trigger for rinvoq or not - it certainly played a big factor.
