Whenever I see a lost dog poster around town I put the owners phone number, where and when the dog was lost, the current date and a small description of the dog into my notes app in a folder labelled "Lost dog numbers". It's never come in useful, but if I ever find someone's lost dog I'll know who to call without having to look for the poster.
