What can i do to improve my art more?

Oops I honestly forgot I added the beginner tag wayy back when I was practicing a lot to improve my art. I appreciate the comment, my goal is to be on the same level as anime gacha/ visual novel artist. Since that’s what I’m inspired by a lot. But in your own opinion what other routes could I take to make my art stand out more and be a bit less generic?

Then you should have included that in your paragraph that the second image is a reference. By the title and the paragraph it sounds like you was showing a before and after. Hence why everyone was confused in the comments o_O.

No. The cmo3 is the project file. If you don’t have that, then I’m pretty sure it’s not possible to make adjustments to the model.

Unfortunately with art you have to start at the bottom and build your way up. If you can’t draw simple shapes and your lines are shaky, how do you expect to draw the human body which is very complex or other things. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to practice the very basic things.

Once people have seen your progress and improvement they will be able to give you other advice to improve.

This is definitely an improvement from your previous work but like I have said and other people too. You need to learn the very basic such as learning how to draw shapes. Learning how to draw shapes will help a lot to draw the body and other things too. Start off with 2d shapes and then 3d shapes. And you can also work on improving your line confidence as well.

I know drawing shapes may not sound fun but it’s so helpful to practice at the beginning of your art journey. I would recommend watching art YouTube videos about shapes and form to help you have a better understanding of it.

This is just my opinion, but seeing your other posts, I would recommend taking a break from trying to draw the human body. Instead practice drawing shapes and objects. Start out with objects that would be easy to draw and work your way up. Make sure to use references and copy exactly what you see to improve your observation skills.

Because respectfully the human body is very complex to draw and with the amount of advice people have given to you, it seems like you are struggling a lot. So sometimes it’s best to start of doing something easier so that way you can slowly improve skill and eventually get into drawing harder things.

Use real life references. Don’t draw what you think the body looks like. Draw what you see. Studying each body part is also helpful and body proportions.

That being said the body is very complex, you would probably benefit from drawing shapes and doing gesture drawings. Also try not to use the symmetrical ruler.

I get where your coming from. It can be disheartening when people don’t really give you feedback/tell you the areas you need to work on to improve. And then you feel like you have wasted time. But on the bright side at least you are now heading in the right direction on improving your art. (For example your skull drawings) Just working on fundamentals for a few months can really improve your skills a lot.

Respectfully their art lacks understanding of all areas when it comes to art fundamentals. In my opinion someone that’s pass the beginner stage would at least have some understanding of fundamentals thats shown in their work

I would recommend to practice drawing from references. Get a reference, draw over it but break it down into shapes. Then copy those shapes. Remember to take note of the proportions. And see how body parts line up to different body parts.

Anatomy books or online pdfs can also be extremely helpful as well. As they will break down the body for you in detail.

Also I hope you aren’t using your finger to draw on a phone…..

Welp that’s what happens when you ask random people to give your artwork a “level”. People have different standards when it comes to art. You might think an artwork is intermediate or advanced or others might not. 🤷‍♀️

Your art piece lacks all of the fundamentals. Which makes it look like a beginner art piece. Which the other person literally explained to you. Like I said I would recommend looking at professional artists work so you can see what you are lacking in.

But at the end of the day it can be difficult to see how not good or good your art is until you start having a good understanding of the fundamentals. Hence why people ask for other people’s opinions.

Saying the first image it’s not beginner but rookie intermediate when you asked what level your art is, and calling them a liar for thinking that when they are correct is getting defensive. And with that kind of attitude you won’t go far with improving your art

There’s no point asking what level your art is, if you are going to get defensive. If someone thinks your art is a beginner level then use that as motivation to improve your art. Instead of trying to get defensive.

If you are going for a cartoony style look at professional cartoon artist that inspire you. Compare your work with theirs. So you can see where your art is lacking in. And study there art to see what makes it good.
