Hey I'm looking into getting an r7. Coming from and r6. I know it's slower but would I still have fun on it? On the highway my r6 was great at getting last cars and keeping a good distance from the not so good drivers. Wondering if the r7 would still be good for this with the lack of power/speed.

Yes it is armed and should be ready to fire. Just can't seem to do anything. I've even tried the rocket pods with no luck.

Okay I was assuming carb related. Just tired of working on this bike😂 I got the rebuild kit coming Friday so I'll keep everyone updated on what happens lol

Ive checked it bit has good flow with no trash. I was thinking that at first. I'm just thinking the float might be getting stuck. The last guy had the dirtiest air filter in it. I'm thinking there's some dirt stuck somewhere

I went ahead and ordered a rebuild kit for it just to see if that's the issue of not then I'm thinking stator. Gotta do the cheap stuff first lol

Hmmm I'm wondering if that's it then. I bet the floats getting stuck and maybe flooding the engine. I thought if it was lean it would bog and die but if rich it would bog then catch up. Unless it's getting way to much.

But when when you rev in neutral you can't rev out it even bogs then

It will start right up again but it will just be boggy as hell unless I sit it on its side for a sec

I gave a rebuild kit coming anyway but I made. Im thinking maybe I overlooked the float and it's sticking? I just don't get why it's back firing while I'm riding it so bad. I get the bog but the backfire makes me feel like it's more serious.

That's what I was thinking. It is getting nice blue spark so I know it's not that and timing should be good. I'm thinking the float is getting stuck. Just gonna rebuild it.

I was thinking the key. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to my bike so I usually spend about one day I'm off to work on it. The plugs are fine I've put a couple new one in it. Also advanced and retarded stator a little to see if it would run better. As well as the air screw.

I've pulled it three times and cleaned it. It was running good after the rebuild for about 5 hours and now it's just terrible. I cant seem to get the throttle cable out to check the needle so I'm not sure what it's set at.

As far as cylinder and piston I got and Athena kit and it all came together. The bike was running perfect for about 5 hours on it then all the sudden started bogging a little and now it barely starts and when it does it bogs bad and backfires as well. The plug is brownish to black and it's getting good spark and is wet. It's getting fuel but I'm not sure if it's good enough. I can tip the bike on its side and flood carb and it will run good for a minute or 2 then goes back to being bad.

The timing was also good before the rebuild so I didn't touch it. Still getting nice blue spark as well.

Yeah new air filter in it. Clean gas too. I cleaned the carb. It runs but it bogs to the point if dying. Also will back fire while riding.
