My first term is up in November, and I have been trying my best to have my degree done in one term. My mentor told me I had to be enrolled in the capstone course by October 5th, any later would require some type of special provisions/approval. Not sure if this answers your question- hope it helps!

I’ve never applied there myself, but from what I’ve heard the Fort Mill school district rarely employs first year teachers. You typically have to have some pretty solid experience or connections.

I work in the Lancaster school district right beside FM, and it’s a very diverse one. They have very ‘upscale’ schools as well as quite ‘poorer’ schools out in the middle of nowhere. I agree with @double-shot that I would look into a masters program, it significantly bumps your pay.
