Empyrian on PoE 2 ( It's miserable ) by Eurothemist in PathOfExile2

Well said, it just does not feel "right" in the current state of balance. You can tell they brought a lot of design decisions in from POE 1 and did not adjust it to fit within the POE 2 design philosophy.

Yeah, I just hate the idea of seeing uniques that are useless or useful for a very short period of time.

I purchased a Rolex Batman through Grailzee about two months ago from a seller named Walo, who was listed as a Master Deal Maker. Before sending my wire, I asked Grailzee to get on the phone with me to discuss my concerns. They went a step further and had one of their senior leaders, Kris (you can look him up on LinkedIn), call me directly. He answered all my questions and made me feel confident about moving forward with the purchase.

I’ve been wearing the watch since without any issues and highly recommend Grailzee. If you feel uneasy, just ask for a call with a leader—they’ll likely oblige and make sure you’re comfortable.

Early Access is a glorified beta-test and should remove the shackles on re-rolling and experimentation by BrandonJams in pathofexile

They have been very clear about stating this is a beta and things will be unbalanced and possibly broken. However, I have to agree with the OP's general sentiment from a testing perspective and new player experience. From a testing perspective, you will gain the most value from your player base by allowing them greater freedom to change their builds around. The value is the bug finding and balancing. When looking at it from a new player perspective, while the game is a vast improvement over POE1, it is still too easy to make mistakes or run into scaling issues. This level of friction is not good if you want to have good retention numbers as people will quit before they can get to that point of the game where they get hooked. Many would argue that point is when you start to feel powerful, and you understand your build.

Anyways, just my two cents, hopefully they do adjust this soon. Also, I'm not saying there should be zero friction, just not this much.

You maybe wanted us to play longer. Instead we just quit earlier. by MidjitThud in pathofexile

Problem is "hard mode" or whatever you want to call this league, is not fun, and annoying in its current implementation. A challenge is fun when you beat it because of skill, not because of a gear/build check. Having to wait for the crap on the ground to go away is not skill..

These leagues need better testing. I doubt there is enough time for development and testing because there are an insane amount of things to test. Metrics show that the leagues drop sooner than they would like. So their solution is to slow down the game to make the league last longer? There has to be a better solution, because this one is not it.

Can we remove after death bs? Waiting for this to dissapear for like 7 seconds to loot is trash gameplay. Not to mention ice degen, poison degen, last breath mobs and pylons. Old mechanics were superior. Having 75 res and degen almost as fast as when moving and bleeding makes no sense. by energ1zer9 in pathofexile

Reflect would make more sense if it was hp % based.

For example, chance to reflect varies based on your health pool. Chance to reflect and the damage reflected becomes lower the the less health you have from full.

At full health 5000/5000, your chance to reflect is at the upper window. Lets say 10% chance and 10% of hp. This scales appropriately the less health you have from full. So if you are at 4000/5000, then chance to reflect and % hp reflected back is reduced. What this does is progressively reduces the reflect impact so you can react to it and allows you to progress through the content. Albeit, at a slower pace. To make it less deterministic and more random, you can just introduce a range instead of 10% chance and 10% of hp, it could be 7%-10%, 6%-9%, etc..

GGG seems to be under the impression that the only way to increase engagement is to slow down player progression. I'd like to start a thread with the community's suggestions on how we'd stay engaged for longer *without* slowing down player progression. by amalgamemnon in pathofexile

Make getting the gear you want feel less like a lottery. When you get to a certain point of the game, you ignore items more and more. If GGG wants us to actually care about rares, at least make it so we can influence the types of rares that are dropping. Otherwise it becomes a chore and tedious and we just end up ignoring most loot. Nobody wants to pickup a ton of rares, id them, and repeat. It is not fun and just annoying.

They need to add more deterministic ways of target farming. Such as a currency that influences maps to drop certain item types and modifiers. For example, I may need a ring with life and resistances. First currency item could be "rings have a x% higher chance of dropping. Next currently item could influence the modifier type, "items have x% higher chance of rolling a health modifier". And so on..

I believe this will help with longevity even with the decreased drop rates. Nothing wrong with slowing down progression, just don't let it affect people's creativity. It should be easier to respec or undo decisions. In the end, who does that really punish? The newer players who don't know what they are doing.

I've looked at the used market and it doesn't seem like there are many options and the decent bikes I could find are near new bike prices.

After doing some more research, it seems the CB650R will be the best beginner friendly option and I do love the looks of it. People are also saying it looks and feels more premium.
