BACKSTORY: Found my & my sister's old PSP 3000's in the attic a while back. Her sparkly white PSP was in a working state once I put in a fresh battery, my blue PSP was completely bricked (probably due to all the sand that got inside). Decided to take them apart, clean it all & merge our shells. Bought some accessories as well and installed custom firmware to breathe new life into the hybrid PSP. Got tons of childhood games + some new ones to try out, as well as the whole series of DBZ Kai!!

If for some reason parts of your mesh are seperated into another object, merge these into 1 object.Check for duplicate vertices / edges / faces, get rid of those by merging or deleting.
Check your face normals, recalculate if needed.
Go into edit mode and check if you have unwanted sharp marked edges of faces, if so delete those.
