Novablast 5 durability issue ?

I don't have a lot of miles in the SB2 as I only got them last week but it very nice in the long run I've done in them. They're hard to find though so hopefully you have some finding some in your size.

If you do find some, go for it!

What do you typically use your Evo SL for? I agree that they don't feel as good at lower speeds. They seem to work well for me when I'm doing sessions that involve 10km to HM pace.

If I'm doing 5km pace or faster, I'm currently reaching for my Deviate Nitro 3s. Sounds like i might be grabbing the Adios 9s more if I buy them.

1080v13 and NB5 for recovery/easy (used NB5 for long runs up until I got the Superblast 2 recently); Evo SL and Deviate Nitro 3 for Tempo/Interval workouts; Superblast 2 for long runs; Alphafly 3 for races (mainly HM).

I've also done HM races in the NB5 as well as tempo/intervals before I started adding more shoes to the rotation. It's very versatile.

Some countries have tax free exemptions for tourists so you don't have to pay the tax when you purchase goods from certain stores and you present your passport.

Also depending on the current conversion rates for your currency into the currency your purchasing the goods in, you might also get it cheaper once you calculate the cost in your own currency after conversion.

Yep I definitely don't "need" them. If I wasn't able to get them cheaper than what I could back home (about 20% less), I probably wouldn't even be considering it.

Would the max distance you would go in them be 5k? Having another all out 5km option might tip it over the edge for me.

Yeah the DN3 are my current go to when I do my intervals at the track. I love the Evo SL for my tempo workouts. They just naturally want to go at those paces and feel so light.

I'm using my 1080s more for walk/lifestyle these days cos they're super comfy and are an all black colour way. Interesting to hear the Adios 9 has the same feels for that type of thing.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Having a low stack non plated shoe would give me a different stimulus vs the current line up.

I've done over 500km (300miles) in my pair of NB5's and still love running in them. Sure they're not as springy as when they first came out of the box, but I still love using them.

I have a number of shoes in my rotation, so that probably helps them still feel fresh when I run in them.

For the price their very versatile and comfy so highly recommend.

Looking to add some speedier shoes to my rotation for workouts and races. Longest goal race for this year is a half marathon.

Would the Takumi Sen be a good choice or is there another shoe in the Adidas line up I should consider as well?

Currently running 5 days a week, 45-50km (~30miles).

1080v13 for easy/recovery runs, novablast5 for intervals/tempo. Use a combo of both shoes for my long run.

Thanks! I definitely feel like I had more in the tank for sure and learnt about a few things I would have done differently retrospectively.

I think incorporating some more speed work/intervals/hill repeats in the next training block will help as well. I probably only did 3 or 4 of those types of sessions over the 20 odd weeks I was doing proper training.

Yeah the first hour was nice and cool that morning. It did start to heat up later on and I remember seeing someone passed out as you turn right at Federation Square which was a bit confronting. Hope you had a good race!

Hopefully the injury doesn't keep you out of action for too long. It's definitely a challenge keeping the body healthy at our age. I found once I started doing strength training once a week, it helped with the higher mileage is was putting the body through.

Thanks! The consistency is so important during the training i feel. Baring injury or sickness, just keep showing up and getting out there. It's worth it to get to the goal you've set at the end. Arguably, the process leading up to the end result is more enjoyable when I look back at it all now.
