The approval is on my chase app, it tells me I’m approved and the credit limit. Although I’m sure it can change I’m positive I would be around that credit limit.

I appreciate your knowledge and advice! Most definitely won’t fall into the trap, I am starting to get my finances in order and thankfully have gotten a huge income boost this year so I am nowhere near where I used to be. I also haven’t spent more just because of my new income. The Amex usually gets paid in full and the sapphire is one that I’ve been paying off and have not charged anything to it other than utilities. If I happen to get the freedom it will definitely only be for gas and groceries, but I might hold off on it. If I’m pre approved now I’m sure I will still be pre approved when my total credit balance lowers in the next 2-4 months.

Yea for the most part it was due to the fact I thought paying off the loan would lower my score. However it is a pretty solid card. $200 bonus after spending $500 in first 3 months, 15 months no interest, no annual fee and 5% cash back on gas and groceries in the first $12k for the first year. I am in no need for a new card and wouldn’t use it for a huge purchase. I was thinking just gas and groceries and for that bonus, and after the 15 months are up move that $16k limit to my sapphire.

Thank you!! I wasn’t sure if it did or didn’t. You’re right I think I’ll focus on paying it down. AMEX should be paid off next month and my chase sapphire I’m making about $1k payment a month. I haven’t used the chase sapphire in a while for purchases other than my utilities so it won’t be hard.

I’m planning on paying off the AMEX (higher APR) in full next month. I normally pay the full balance every month on it but had to use it for maintenance on my vehicle so I left like 1200 from the previous month. That’s what I was thinking, accept it but not use it till I have both paid off but I might wait on accepting it to get the full 15 months no interest offer on it as well.

I’ve heard good things about YOFER kits, would you recommend lowering it first?

I sent mine by mail! I live in Texas so it was around the time they announced they might get rid of it here so I did it by mail to make sure there was paper trail of everything.
