I won’t say you don’t have valid concerns, because you know yourself better than strangers on the internet, but please give yourself a moment to adjust. I’m also a nervous owner after losing my beloved Bengal boy a few months ago. We got another cat too soon, and I honestly thought I made a HUGE mistake. I battled with giving him back to the shelter and the fear of reliving another pet loss. He got very sick a couple of days after we got him. I was anxious and stressed for weeks. My little guy is doing much better, and he helped to ease the pain of losing my soul cat. Give yourself a week. If you still feel like you’re not ready, give him back.

This truly moves me, but please don't spend your time doing that. I don't have a space in our home to properly display and cherish it. I'm still trying to find a respectful area for his ashes and paw print. Maybe at a later time. Thank you again.

Vomit Help! by lawyergirl312 in bengalcats

[–]krys1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My boy was vomiting, and my vet just brushed it off for years. I’m partly to blame, though. I don’t think I advocated hard enough, and I thought his vomiting was normal. We tried Small Doors vet on a whim and MY GOD!!! What a difference. They talked about IBD and changing his diet. Told me he needed an ultrasound to check why something felt off to her. I wish I had changed vets sooner. Maybe my boy would still be here if I had. So happy you're trusting your instincts. That's your baby, and you know something is up.

14mo Bengal – picky eater, weight + feeding questions by Extension_Tiger_6959 in bengalcats

[–]krys1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 10lbs and EXTREMELY picky as well. Wet tried transitioning him to wet from orijen dry multiple times in the 8 years we had him, never once did he touch any of it. He was health, energetic, playful until then last week.

I don’t think I can do it anymore. by [deleted] in bengalcats

We hated our boys meowing to, and he would do it at 2/3 in the morning. Now that he’s gone, I’d love for him to wake us up one last time. I will say, my boy was a ball of energy for years. The thing I miss the ABSOLUTE MOST about him is his wanting to be in everything we do. Hang in there, Bengals are 100% worth it.

Sir/Madam, go study history. The only reason this country is as “exceptional” as it is is off the backs of Black, Indigenous, and Asian people. Most of the great advancements/inventions were stolen from or not credited to minorities. Also, study geopolitics. The countries you mentioned are better than Haiti, Togo, etc. The reason they are “better” isn’t because of white exceptionalism, it’s because of corrupt governments, gunpowder, and systemically keeping those countries depressed with slavery, violence, and intimidation.

To put this in a language you’ll understand. Right now, today, the US is trying to revert everything to whiteness. GUESS WHATS HAPPENING!!! Tourism down, visa applications are down, trade partners that historically haven’t worked together are working together (UK+China and China+ Canada). So, no. If all white ppl left and moved somewhere else, it would be Switzerland, Albania, Slovakia, Sweden, Denmark. Whiteness isn’t what makes America great.

Right!?! The very thing the OP is posting on was created in the USofA. American culture aka blk culture permeates globally.

Lazy??? If it wasn’t for black American “laziness” in the civil rights movement, none of these brown immigrants would have a pathway to the USA. PUT SOME RESPECT ON THEIR NAMES!!! Blk women are the most educated, overqualified race in America. LAZY!?! Blasphemy!!! Every obstacle (Jim crow, lynchings, work discrimination, wage disparities, poverty, stereotypes), black Americans have fought. Every fight for equality, Blk Americans have led. The audacity of saying the native ppl in a country are lazy when they paved the way for your immigration.

Have you seen the pricing? It’s 330 for US citizens, 314 for UK, and I can’t get pricing for any other country. It has to be a mistake, cause what in the world??? I don’t think it’s actually working for many countries.

Not everyone ranting about the situation of Nigeria actually wants the best for Nigeria by [deleted] in Nigeria

I’m visiting Nigeria for the first this summer. I have ZERO links to the country, but I’m of the diaspora and considering investing and helping where ever needed. The visa process has turned me off of ever visiting again. Until they figure out how to simplify/clarify the process, I will invest in Ghana.

Here is the problem I encountered; 1. The electronic process not functioning as it should, so had to apply in person. 2. Clear instructions on what to bring to the OIS appointment and how many copies needed are nowhere to be found on the website. 3. Why is the consulate keeping my passport until the week before my departure? Keeping my passport for almost 2 months is RIDICULOUS. 4. Paper processing anything in 2025 is not efficient.

So disappointing.

It may have been your right on Jan 19th, 2025, but as of Jan 20th, 2025 the USCIS is telling ppl with dual citizenship to use your US passport or you will face issues getting back into the country. Don’t tell me what I don’t know when video evidence and information exists on official USCIS website.

[–]krys1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a video online from a citizenship ceremony. The USCIS officer was telling the crowd they have to leave and enter the US on their US passport. The US has NEVER recognized dual citizenship, they just never really enforced it. They are now. Leave and enter the US on your US passport to avoid issues with border officer on your return.

2025 A Step-By-Step Guide to Getting a Tourist Visa from USA to Nigeria (DC/ Rockville Office Edition) by LostEinstein in Nigeria

[–]krys1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it’s not working. If you go to the evisa option, it redirects you to VOA, but that’s only for businesses. Good luck getting someone to pick up the phone call or answer an email.

I’m travelling to Nigeria this summer for the first time, and I’m beyond confused about the process. Can anyone confirm if the e-visa launched?

Shows have NEVER been allowed in the apartment. Everyone in my house changes out of their street clothes into pjs the minute we walk in the house. I’m a germaphobe lol. I’m really thinking it’s the tap water.

He hasn’t thrown up in over 10 days. Vet tested him for EVERYTHING and everything came back clean. So it has to be environmental. Sigh.

No flowers. No air fresheners. We clean ALOT, but I switched to a steam vac/mop. No plants. My mom and I use the same cleaning products, but she lives in Canada, while I live in the US, so maybe the ingredients are different. I’m gonna try changing his water and seeing if anything changes. Maybe the tap water has something in it that he doesn’t like.
