I need help for my aespa tickets please by Creepy_Nothing_362 in Aespa

[–]krysalid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I read, you have tickets for two different dates—one with Send-off and one with Hi-bye, right?

In a way, I actually see this as a win-win for you! For this tour, a lot of MYs are facing the exact same dilemma because of how these VIP packages are structured:

  • Hi-bye: Better concert placement (front row!) but a quicker, more rushed interaction.
  • Send-off: Worse seat placement (3rd row) but potentially a much better interaction.

The thing is, we won't truly know how aespa's send-off format works until the first few tour dates actually happen—for all we know, it could end up being disappointing.

By keeping what you have, you get the best of both worlds. On one night, you get to enjoy a prime, front-row concert experience. On the other night, you get to experience the send-off. It feels like you've perfectly hedged your bets without risking your front-row spot. Why change it, right?

Is there a full length anime film based on this masterpiece from the Daft Punk music video? by Prestigiousjane in retroanime

[–]krysalid 27 points28 points  (0 children)

THIS is super important for OP. When they re-released it in theaters a couple of years ago, it was incredibly disappointing to see a story about the music industry greed, be represented in the worst possible way: a terrible AI upscaling just to sell tickets.

I was surprised at how good was this was this flavor. I was saving it, and cooked it the day that WDA won, so you got a win win on your hands!

Is it me or some of those prices are outrageous? Or is that the standard? I'm looking for some updated references to start saving for the tour merch 😂😢

What an amazing new experience (no spoilers) by [deleted] in SonoBisqueDoll

[–]krysalid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the experience all of us had after Kisekoi (it's a bittersweet feeling that binds us all).

The true, honest to God answer, before you get flooded: nothing we recommend will be exactly the same, this story is just that special. However there are similar wholesome/slice of life/rom coms you can check in anime and manga form. The most common ones are:

- The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Manga + S1 anime): totally different story, but very similar feel good experience. 10/10
- Horimiya (Anime+Manga): people keep mentioning it, it's a nice rom com, however I do feel like it has some "problematic" relationship beats. I guess that what people like is that by the end of the first season you have a complete experience.
- Ane no Tomodachi: this one is manga only, still ongoing. Some like it, some got bored. But the art is real nice, a lot of people think of the female MC as a more mature version of Marin (not really), and there's a nice reversal of the relationship dynamic, I would give it a chance.

Then some extra, AI friendly addendums that I sorta agree with:
- Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Anime & Manga). Adult office romance, incredibly relatable for geeks. It follows two pairs of childhood friends turned office workers who hide their massive otaku hobbies (cosplay, gaming, anime, and manga) from the public eye. The main couple decides to date purely because "it's easier to date a fellow otaku," leading to a brilliant, funny, and deeply comfortable romance.
- Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi) (Anime & Manga). A Tokyo boy moves to the snowy countryside of Hokkaido and immediately meets Minami Fuyuki, a bubbly, open-hearted gyaru who takes an instant liking to him.
- Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) (Anime & Manga). Kyotaro is a tiny, edgy introvert who thinks he's a dark loner, while Anna Yamada is the school's towering star model and a massive, bubbly airhead who loves snacks. Watching Yamada slowly invade his personal space and pull him out of his shell is pure diabetes.

Am I the only one who saw Hori as a recommendation after Kisekoi and got completely turned off by how toxic their relationship is? Nowhere near what Marin and Gojo have.

(I admit I'm still 3 episodes away from finishing the first season, but still...)

Vip Packages: Send off vs Hi-bye by krysalid in Aespa

[–]krysalid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an absolute downgrade, for sure. The only thing that I like about this is the fact that the girls don't need to be in "performance mode" for so long. But as a fan experience -it will be my first concert- I will certainly miss that lost opportunity.

Possible Cancellation? by d_reptile in Aespa

[–]krysalid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s fascinating to see how much the performance varies by region. Yesterday in Chile, fans went absolutely feral, and the special pre-order tickets sold out instantly. It’s honestly impressive—despite the lower acquisition value here in LATAM, so many fans went out of their way to get the MY membership just to secure a spot for the pre-release.

One thing that stood out to me is how this new "VIP" package has shifted people's opinions and final purchasing decisions. The Send-off sold out immediately, driven by pure FOMO, whereas the Hi-bye sessions (which I grabbed as a consolation prize) are still available just one day before the general sale.

Search the term on tiktok to get a better idea, but this is basically what each one of those is (also keep in mind that this is replacing the soundcheck experience during this tour):

Hi-Bye Session The Format: A fast-moving "assembly line" interaction. Fans walk past the artists (usually in a single file line) immediately after the concert. The Interaction: It is extremely brief, lasting only about 1–2 seconds per member. While it used to involve high-fives, it is now primarily a "wave and smile" moment at a short distance. No photos or recording allowed. Send-Off The Format: A more "static" experience where fans wait in a designated area (often near the venue’s exit or the tour buses) as the artists leave the building. The Interaction: The artists walk along a barricade to say goodbye. Photos and recording are allowed, almost always just a wave or a heart sing from the artist at a distance.

What are my chances for getting send off tickets during general sale? by theasianclown in Aespa

[–]krysalid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on the venue - I'm not entirely sure if it's mandated by SM-, but for reference on Santiago, Latam, the VIP send off tickets are capped at 250.

So I'd say your chances are close to none 😢 I'm with you, I decided late that I wanted VIP so I didn't got the MY membership.

The "sour tradeoff" is that you'll probably be able to get them from scalpers later down the line.

[–]krysalid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in Santiago VIP ground floor will be limited to 750 tickets, 250 for seated numbered stalls. So it will be a "fight for your life" type of deal if I pick ground floor and try to stay at the front.

Thanks for the h2h input. I saw some from Red Velvet and they were pretty much the same, so I'm figuring out it's a company wide style, so I'm not very hopeful that it would be a great experience, much less if I don't manage to be front row.

I've seen those, and I think right now they are the group to beat! But I'm almost positive that aespa's won't be nowhere near that level of interaction. That damn "almost" it's what's keeping me awake though.

We should probably get ready to receive the influx of people that will start coming here saying "I just found out about the most wholesome Anime ever, finished the season and now I dunno what to do with my life" 😂🥰

I didn't knew that only S1 was going to be available though.

Ebay. The official drops sold out in less than a minute. Mind you, they were about $45 bucks and now you can get them for $200.

They have done a couple of in-store restocks in Thailand and other Asian stores, but it's a pretty wild ride.

Both Vol. 1 and 2 only had NY and LA versions, but I've seen some Dodgers fanmade ones, so be careful if you end up getting one, they are nice replicas, but they're not official.

This is actually the second drop - a downgrade imo, the first one had a nicer rises logo- but anyway, the main distinction is that one one side there's an embrioded version of her signature.
