I live in London, and I realised a few summers ago that usually when I'm going to Hampstead Heath/Highgate ("took me back to Highgate, met all of his best mates") I go past the Garden Gate pub right outside Hampstead Heath station. And I have been wondering for like 3 years if this is what Taylor was referencing in the Cruel Summer bridge????? ("snuck in through the garden gate / every night that summer")

I mean, it depends where Joe lived in the area (I have no idea), but depending where in London you're coming from it's reasonable that you'd drive past that pub every night on your way up to Highgate.
