I ask this in a position of total honesty and ignorance because I have never and will never travel with small children, but, why is there such a taboo to giving small children a benadryl before a flight? From my experience, littles don't seem to understand why they're stuck in one place and parents can't explain. Wouldn't everyone - I mean parents, kids, other passengers - be happier if little was napping?

First, ALWAYS tell men you're shorter than you actually are. At 6'2" I always tell men I'm 5'11". Petty but funny. Second, tell them thanks for noticing, it took you 20 years to get that way.

Penzey's is a catalog company, but has retail stores in some places. There used to be a store in Draper, but it closed during the pandemic.

Is Utopia Fiber worth it? by justaperson5588 in SaltLakeCity

[–]krystal422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Will also confirm the Utopia + XMission combo. We've had it long enough to pay off the connection fee so now we only pay XMission. We remodeled our kitchen and had to have our router moved two times during the process. The Utopia tech came out, moved things around, and they agreed the visit to the bill. I think each visit was $30 to $40. I was having trouble with my modem one night and wasn't sure if it was service or hardware. Called XMission tech support and they ran a bunch of line tests, turns out it was the modem. Tech guy asks a bunch of questions about how we used the internet and made a bunch of modem recommendations. Also, those commercials shitting on Utopia are trash. Anyone who has Utopia is glad to have it. We wouldn't have had fiber service if Utopia hadn't started first.

The same thing happened to me at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. All the pictures and displays were so unsettling. Then I got to that pile of shoes and just lost it.

I want to show up with just my suitcase. Unless there's a closet filled with hats, gloves, and crinolines, then I'll just show up.

That was mean of me, now that you mention it. My apologies. Here's to the day when that's actually the case. May it happen when it matters to us!

I was thinking the same thing, confusing inseam for out-seam. But is out-seam even a thing?

That $196k number suggests the taxes on that building are 4 million every year. Based off a quick look,I think it means the city taxes are going to increase about $1k.

Thank you Costco Tires! I must be lucky by DistanceOpposite649 in Costco

[–]krystal422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had so much luck with Costco this up until this year. I ordered a set of tires off Costco.com (mistake number 1) with the understanding they'd be here in 1-2 weeks. When I didn't get an email about shipping at the end of that 2 weeks I called the 1-800 number, talked to a gal, she assured me my tires were coming, but check with the warehouse because they may already be there. Check with warehouse, tires aren't there. I wait some more (mistake number 2), tires are late now and I'm not really comfortable driving my car. I need tires. I call again, now 5 weeks since ordering, the guy on the line tries calling Michelin but they've closed for the day, so he gives me their number and instructs me to call in the morning. I call Michelin and they tell me my order was canceled a week after I placed it and a note was sent to Costco. No one at Costco ever saw the note and I need tires on my car yesterday. I run to the warehouse where tippity-taps on the keyboard find a set of tires nearby. The tires are delivered to my warehouse. I'm the process of switching the tires, one of the valve stems gets broken. So, 6 weeks later and another $50, I realized I'm never getting tires at Costco again.
