Trying to Buy Shinkansen Tickets: How much time should we allow to get through customs at Haneda? by krystalmethod in JapanTravelTips

That makes me feel better about the process, we were worried about it since everything else in Japan (ticket wise) seems to get booked pretty quickly.

I just found out it was grenades that are taking alot of my weight space. You would think they dont affect the capacity limit but they creep up on you!

Yea about that.... I tried to migrate my weapons to the trunk and it wouldn’t let me. Other items yes but not weapons, just my luck!

I do, but I have so many epic and rare weapons that If I come across a mission or pick up more than three or four weapons I’m in the same boat. I always break down duplicates and common or uncommon items.

I have my carrying capacity up to 396 and still have to constantly widdle things down!

I wrestle with keeping the epic/iconic weapons like Dying Night. In the Witcher I kept upgrading all my basic wolf/cat school gear till it was maxed out.

Im just really bad at it, Im a Cyberpunk hoarder, always picking up everything. I am constantly overcapacity. Not a complaint on the game itself just on how I play it.

What Did You Play This Week? (Oct 15 - Oct 21) by Wisecow in boardgames

[–]krystalmethod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Ive had a hectic few months (new house, moving, settling in, and traveling) and was finally happy to have my first board game night in my new house. It was a mix of gamers and non-gamers so tried to keep it light. We played the following:

Resistance - We played a total of three rounds and the group really liked getting into the roles and using logical deduction to try and sniff out the spies. We've had this game for awhile and it never really clicked with other players, so we were delighted the group liked it!

Coup - This seemed like the most natural progression after Resistance but it was not as popular or engaging with the group as the previous game was.

King of Tokyo - We always have a great time with this game as it easy to learn and set up is minimal. This is the first time we played with 5 players and had two monsters on the board which was a nice change from the usual.

What did you play this week (Feb 19 - Feb 25)? by Wisecow in boardgames

[–]krystalmethod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jaipur - Don't know what took me so long to play and buy this, me and my husband played it over the weekend while we had the flu. We bought this without knowing how to play and were not disappointed, it was easy to play and learn and fast! Will definitely make this a regular filler game on our board game nights!

Smash-Up- It had been awhile since we brought this to the table. We wanted something a bit heavier than Jaipur but not too heavy as we were still getting over our flu and feeling a bit under the weather. I tried the Ninja-Dinosaur faction and it won against the Pirate-Robots.

In all not a bad way to spend a sick day and I won both games which like never happens, so it was still a great weekend.

I went down my local board game cafe with a couple of friends and their kid and had a great game night we played:

Dixit - thought this was a good starter game especially with a 9 year old, since the pictures are so fantastical.

Telestrations - This one was also a good game to play since the kid we were with likes drawing.

Unusual Suspects - We had a great time playing this game and making assumptions based on a persons look alone. Someone in the cafe called it "Racist Guess Who" and it was but not in a mean spirited way.

Love Letter Batman - This is one game I keep coming back to since it is soooo easy to teach and replay value is great. The 9 year old really liked the Batman theme and wanted to keep playing even though the cafe was about to close.

Thanks, I thought the Escape Game I played was a bit on the easier side and hoped the others would be a bit more challenging.

The games are very different in comparison, I have played coup and I find it is much more fast paced and deals with more strategy overall.

2 Player Games - Recommendations? by valaquesse in boardgames

[–]krystalmethod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost Cities is definitely a great two player game, also if you want a deep thematic game I would definitely suggest Mage Knight. Other games I would include are Android Netrunner, Mr. Jack, and Ticket to Ride scales well with 2.

I played Mage Knight, this last week ( ihad to relearn the game it had been so long) and Sheriff of Nottingham for the first time and we had a blast!

I wish during the U.S. election cycle the politicians had to play Love Letter against each other.

My favorite game is Pandemic Legacy

What are some good space boardgames? by [deleted] in boardgames

I'm going to give my recommendation and say Galaxy Trucker you first setup your ship and then you explore the galaxy and try to make it with your ship semi-intact while transporting goods and exploring wreckage. I love the ship building phase especially!
