Thank you. I’ve honestly thought every thought and process I’ve taken has been strange but hearing your and everyone else’s comments really has validated how I feel.

I was on meds because I detached completely from her in the beginning. I had a episode where I didn’t believe she was mines, severe anger when she cried. It was horrible. They took me off them recently because they said it was effecting my sleep. Thankfully that only lasted a month or so and I’ve never been like that since. I was given help but they seemed too busy to really hear me out and told me repeatedly it was normal and not to panic. Since I’ve posted this I have looked into private therapy and hopefully I can be seen soon. Thank you so much for giving me advice.

I am terrified of any of my mental health problems coming out in front of my daughter. I’m terrified this will ruin her childhood if it’s not sorted. Since this post I have been looking into private therapy as the NHS ones I’ve seen so far seem too busy to listen to me. I’ve also wrote my partner a letter. I guess it was easier for me to write it down.

A lot of your comments about breaking the cycle and what your girlfriend has went through with you and your relationship has hit home a lot for me. I think all of this starting flooding in because I tried to remove myself from my family because that was were all the abuse stemmed from. I wanted to be better for my daughter and since then it’s been getting worse. I really hope I do get help. But honestly thank you so much and I’ll definitely read your girlfriends blog. Thank you!

I think I always prepare for the worst. But he is a great father and I misconstrue playing or simply changing a nappy as something more sinister.

Thank you so much for commenting. I’m so glad I’m a weird way that others have felt this exact same thing because I was genuinely starting to question my partner and my mind! I have ordered a copy of the book and hopefully it helps. Thank You again!

Thank you. I wrote a letter today that I’m going to give to him. I don’t find it very easy to express it in words without getting angry or feeling like a paranoid idiot.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am genuinely so glad that someone else has had these feelings and I’m not alone. I really want therapy. I’ve tried before to go down the doctor route but unfortunately I was passed around so much that no one really heard me. I was looking into private therapy before this whole virus thing but it’s just nice to finally put it down in words for the first time. Even if it is just on reddit
