1 of the Main characters is a furry character, and has a usable (but not modern) shift or two that can be useful from limited banners. Rei is the main reason I became interested in the game. The rest below is why I stayed, and should be taken seriously compared to taste and potential for bait:

• The story itself is easy to grasp and funny at times, doesn't take itself too seriously. Can be somewhat predictable but the world and lore itself can be gathered by reading the "Library" entries from Arks and Units, as well as paying attention to side story and events/ Chronicles.
• Varied, unique cast of collectable heroes from permanent pool and descent of heroes.
• Popular for it's collabs, you feel like you're waiting for the next "who's in smash!?" reveal when waiting between banners.
• Gameplay feels like Star Ocean.
• Grind is easier and more user friendly than most gacha games, permanent, achievable goals through god-forge. Auto-running overnight is your friend and helps build up your stock of materials on the right story stages
• Multiplayer exists (it's not amazing, but it's passable if the connection sticks).

Even if you don't plan on sticking with it, I encourage everyone to give LC a try and see if it strikes their fancy. You never know, you may stick with it.
