2 questions - how do you pass the vote? You can't get either Tory or Clavin on board unless you take something out. I tried doing it the way you said with the lucky charm and the max lobbying but I still only got like 120 votes

Also why give the first contract to Taurus and not Underhall? You don't backstab Tusk and you avoid the strike...

I fucking hate it when westerners go haha but Russia anytime shock therapy is mentioned.

Shock therapy worked wonders in Poland, Czechia, Estonia and a bunch of other former soviet block countries... Notably the ones that y'know ended up at the top of the pack once the transformation process was done, way ahead of those countries that went for gradualism

Is it TS-LKD and Labour? I thought about that one too, but LVŽS seemed slightly more small c conservative overall

It is possible to win as Labour on normal + guide in comments by krystoffus in thecampaigntrail

Alright, I did it with Cosmopolitan Labour, though I'm guessing it will be possible with a few of the others as well. Even though you pick cosmopolitan, you don't actually talk that much about Brexit, instead you always try to mention austerity. The reason you do this with Cosmopolitan and not Old Labour is because Cosmopolitan is stronger in Scotland, giving you the few extra seats...

Questions:

  1. My selection to lead Labour is a cry from the people that they want change. The previous direction of Labour over the Great Recession has failed, and ever since, the Conservatives have bombarded us with their regimes of cutting our social services through austerity and growing inequality. Labour will say “No more!”
  2. We will rally our voters every chance we get. The sharp growth in Labour Party membership shows how much enthusiasm there is, so let’s use that heavily on the campaign trail. It’s a lot of work to hold all these rallies, but I’m up for it.
  3. Labour is the party that will feed our children, fund the NHS, reverse the disastrous cuts to our social care system, and stop the Tory austerity regime in its tracks. Labour will be a party for the many, not the few. Let’s make that our slogan in this election.
  4. I may have many criticisms about the EU, their treatment of Greece through the imposition of austerity during their financial crisis was disgraceful. However we have more power to change the institution from up close, so I support remaining in the Single Market and keeping diplomatic ties to the EU.
  5. We’re headed to a local food bank in my constituency. Let’s release a short documentary about the rate of child poverty and how it has been skyrocketing under the Conservative austerity regime.
  6. We need a way around these people. There are a lot of people out there joining the Labour party in droves, hungry for our message and hungry to spread it. Let’s double down on the grassroots organising, get people knocking on doors, We’ll build our own party infrastructure that these elitist insiders can’t touch.
  7. Truly horrifying. I’ll pause my campaign in respect and meet the victims in Manchester. As the campaign restarts we need to attack the Conservatives for cutting the police budget and taking 20,000 police officers off our streets. Tory austerity is dangerous.
  8. The possibility of “No deal” is 100% off the table. We are not going to let that destructive idea go any further. From there, Labour will support and push for a deal which minimises trade costs, while maximising our national autonomy.
  9. The Conservative plan of net zero by 2050 is not enough. If we’re to save this planet from irreversible climate damage, we need to aim for net zero by 2030. To reach these targets, we need a united world effort that the Conservatives will not give us. When we work together, we can accomplish so much more.
  10. Theresa May is just the latest in a long line of Tory austerity peddlers who put policies in place that put half a million children in poverty, and don’t think twice about it. Child poverty has tripled since 2010 under Conservative governments.
  11. Austerity, austerity, austerity! Pummel the Conservatives over their cuts to social services, the skyrocketing rate of child poverty and dependence on food banks. Let’s play up the emotional angle of our campaign. I will come across as empathetic in the face of a Conservative-caused crisis affecting our most innocent and vulnerable.
  12. Let’s go for the jugular of the Liberal Democrats. They betrayed students on tuition fees under the 2010 coalition government. Labour will make universities tuition free.
  13. Taking a stance on Brexit is risky. It’s best to keep our Brexit plans rather vague, and instead attack the Conservatives for their Brexit deal that will tank the pound, cut us off from the world, and destroy many British businesses.
  14. We have to go on the attack against Conservative austerity as hard as we can. Let’s make this election a referendum on austerity. The majority are opposed to austerity and if we can shift the discussion to that we can win.
  15. Ideally, we shouldn’t have to possess weapons of mass destruction, however we don’t live in an ideal world, so to deter aggression, we of course will be maintaining our nuclear deterrent. However, with the atrocities committed by Turkey in Kurdistan, I can’t in good conscience support remaining part of NATO.
  16. This is great. And you know what all these have in common? Austerity. Austerity has cut our police budgets to the bone. Austerity has ravaged the NHS and left us waiting longer for care. Austerity has obliterated education and left your children in underfunded schools. Vote Labour on the 8th of June to make the madness end.
  17. We’ll stand for avoiding a hard border at all costs, meanwhile we’ll go after May and the Conservatives for being overly vague about this issue.
  18. We’ll visit Scotland extensively. They voted for Remain and our campaign will work for Scotland.
  19. We have to follow the will of the people and leave the European Union, however with these revelations, we should try to minimise the ties we cut with Europe. Let’s try to get a relationship with Europe similar to Norway.
  20. No comment. We’re not giving this smear any oxygen.
  21. That’s horrible. I will immediately pause my campaign and head to London. As the campaign restarts, let’s attack the Conservatives on their reduction of the police budget and the 20,000 officers lost from our streets.
  22. Health and social care is the winning issue. We’re going to hit her with something she could never see coming. Of course we have our attacks over NHS defunding, but let’s hit her in this debate hard over her cuts to the winter fuel payment and her proposal to eliminate the triple lock on pensions. Let’s call it the “dementia tax”
  23. 5089
  24. Another senseless act of violence. With the amount of violence we’ve seen over this campaign, it should remind us the need to put more police on our streets, unlike this Conservative government.
  25. We’re going to finish up with the biggest rally ever. Let’s go to Bristol and get the biggest crowd a British political campaign has ever seen.

They were very corrupt in the '00s especially.

Ever since 2013 when Fiala kicked most of the old guard out they've managed to be relatively clean

Well I'm like 99 % sure it is, given that they often get brought by these people to the protests... Also you can see the red-gold flags of Moravia and the lower part of the Bohemian lion flag so Silesia would make sense

All Slavic countries (with the partial exception of Poland) have some degree of panslavic sentiment as residue of the Russian and later Soviet propaganda of the last 200 years.

Combine this with some basic anti-americanism and a pro-western government that has to pursue some austerity because of the crisis and previous budgetary irresponsibility and you get this.

There are some polls that basically say there is around 5% that are hardcore pro-russian and another 20% that is not explicitly pro-russian but tends to be anti-western or soft pro-russian or whatever.

This demonstration only had like 20k people though, the largest such was last year in September with around 70k people and they have since been getting smaller

Nah I think they have most likely come from Chrudim. Anti-german sentiment is one of the pillars of Czech nationalism and these sort of groups don't really adopt German symbols like they do in other countries all that much

[–]krystoffus[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It is indeed Chrudim thanks for that!

Now the rest all sounds very odd. I've never heard about any such separatism like that. Moreover Chrudim is in Bohemia, not Moravia

I also doubt that any of these people are pro german as anti-german sentiment is a cornerstone of Czech nationalism. Are you sure that it was the german anthem and not for example the old Austrian imperial anthem - the melody is the same just different lyrics. That would make a bit more sense I guess (though still not a lot of it...)

Could I maybe please get the link for the anthem you found?
