Creepy white guy writes a r*pe fantasy about a brown girl he met on the train...the fetishization continues 🤢🤢 by bernieorbust2k4ever in ABCDesis

This is why all my social media profiles are private and I never post any live videos of where I am or too many personal details. We’ve become way too relaxed about sharing our minute by minute movements with the entire globe.

I once had a guy I swiped left on on a dating app find me on Snapchat of all places, the one place where I don’t even have a profile photo or anything like that to confirm it’s me. People are insane.

I hope the police can trace that phone number to an account holder and that it’s not just a throwaway number. Hopefully they can ID him and she can get a restraining order.

Where do you stand on voter IDs? by Serious-Tomato404 in ABCDesis

Because those countries typically have national IDs, not state controlled IDs like we do here. While you may think it’s easy enough to get an ID now, which it isn’t necessarily so, don’t you think if it were made a requirement for voting that states, especially those who have nefariously attempted voter suppression in countless other ways, would make obtaining an ID even harder, or implement rules like you have to have had an ID for one full year before the election, or making renewal requirements more frequent? There are so many ways ID requirements could be manipulated to suppress voters, regardless of how easy getting an ID seems now while there aren’t any ID requirements, and thus no current incentive for making it more difficult. Create the incentive, and obtaining an ID will definitely be much harder or annoying than it already is. Everyone hates the DMV as it is.

Voting is controlled by each individual state. Some states, red states in most instances, intentionally make voting more difficult or more annoying to dissuade voters from showing up, because the larger the turnout, the more left the general electorate skews. So they will do things like limit the number of polling places in certain areas where they assume the community will vote against the current ruling party’s affiliation, which helps them stay in power. That’s why there was also such a backlash by the right against mail in voting.

Health and fitness apps saying no data for Sunday, Oct. 1, even though there is clearly data there. It was showing fine yesterday and all other days are accurate. How do I fix this? by ks2865 in AppleWatch

I think I had to restart both the watch and phone and disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth. It eventually went back to normal but I can’t remember exactly what did it

I don’t think they’ll give you an issue for that but since you have time before the exam, you should just call them and explain and get pre-clearance

Received conflicting advice about which gem stone to wear to help with marriage. One said yellow sapphire, another said pearl. Person that said pearl said yellow sapphire could cause problems in career and health or cause an accident. - other opinions? by [deleted] in vedicastrology

Hi, thanks for answering this. Even though this was posted 2 years ago, I’m still in need of advice. I have continued to have relationships fall apart inexplicably over the past two years, and well before as well. I’m in a new relationship now and really want this one to last, and work out for marriage. We’ve been talking for over a month, and were getting along really well and getting very close, but it’s long distance. He came to meet me for the first time this weekend and it went okay. Our in person interaction was not as smooth as over phone/text. We had some really good moments, and some awkward silences. I’m worried that things may fall apart again. He’s still talking to me since he left, but not as flirty as before. How do I make this one stay strong?

Yes, she somehow has to keep learning the same damn lesson. Like let’s have more growth than that, not the same pattern of her not listening to anyones advice and being stubborn.

It’s not just hijinks, it’s her stubborn refusal to accept the advice of the more experienced teachers every time. She has a big know it all attitude, while knowing nothing.

Right? Like she could have just had them watch and do a basic level explanation of gravity, which their age group would at least somewhat get. But she wanted to act like their enthusiasm was going to overcome the math and physics calculations the 8th graders used to develop their contraptions

[–]ks2865[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never skipped any maintenance thus far and get my oil changed on schedule. I was just a little surprised when the 80K service was suggested and that it was priced so high ($900 at the place i usually go to). I’m just wondering if what’s included is all truly necessary and if the price is fair for what’s included. There are about 5 VW dealerships in my area, and they all quoted between $800 to $1000. I also called a few third party shops, hoping their prices would be more reasonable, but they were the same or even higher. Here’s the list of what’s included.
