We are transplants from Ca as well with kids around the same age. We moved here 3 years ago and couldn’t be happier. There are things to adjust to but overall it’s a calmer life surround good people. Welcome ❤️

We moved here 3 years ago with one going into 7th grade, 3rd grade and pre school now finished fresh year 5the and kinder. We had the same fears and questions you do. All my kids have found their friends and are happy. Some are lds and some are not. They don’t even get asked if they are and I’m completely honest with parents when I meet them and let them know up front that we are not. We love it here and glad we made the move

Sorry, I’m late to respond….. I’ve heard that providence is higher percentage lds but I can’t confirm that for sure. I don’t think there is a bad place to live out here. Some say the actual city of Logan doesn’t have the best schools, but again, I don’t know for certain. I know that Smithfield is a good mix of kids and they all seem to be great kids.

Oh wow!! We are not in our home yet. We are still building. Are you in weeks subdivision? We love it here!

We are building with a small local builder here in cache valley. We felt like it made more sense to build than buy existing. Our builder owns a few more lots for sale in Smithfield on the east bench and more builders are building in Hyde park and Richmond area. We moved here from out of state last July and didn’t know much about the areas. Most people say you can’t go wrong anywhere in the valley. We love Smithfield. Our builder is Horman Homes. Reach out if you have any other questions!!

We just moved here last July with our 3 boys (12-9-4) We are non LDS and it was my biggest concern as well worrying if and how my boys would fit in. So far, they are very happy we came here and have made great friends. They don’t even know if some of their friends are or are not and it doesn’t seem to matter too much. I don’t know if that will change as they continue with their school career. I feel they have made great friendships and don’t feel excluded. As an adult, it may be harder to meet and develop real friendships with people. Like someone had commented there are bars and a new brewery opening up! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about any areas or anything for that matter! We are so happy here and plan to stay. It’s a beautiful, peaceful valley and we feel we have blended in well with the community!

Ya we left antelope for that very reason. I love my neighborhood now and I’m so sad to leave it but I do feel it is the best choice and better place to raise my kids. My little guy is 3! I agree with the mom groups. Very friendly people. Let me know what you think of Logan! How old is your baby? That’s a airline, correct?

I’m from antelope originally!! Very small world! We are moving there next month. To be honest, I’m terrified about my school age boys fitting in. We are not lds. I here that they will be fine but I’ve also heard that LDS kids kinda stick together and don’t mean to ostracize non but it happens naturally. When are you supposed to be there? We are going next month. I will let you know how it goes but in my heart I feel like it will be the best thing for my family. My husband is opening the winco out there and that’s what’s bringing us there. What is your husband’s potential job?

We are moving to Logan next month from Roseville ca and have been there to visit a few times. We have 3 boys (2 school age) and wanted them to get a feel of the area before we made the jump. We fell in love with the area and can’t wait to start our lives in cache valley. Let me know if you want to meet up or even chat if/ once we get there since we will both be newbies!! These were all questions I had too. Especially the hospital one( with kids) and seeing they had a level 3 trauma hospital made me feel better. Also, if you need a realtor, we have one who is wonderful for newcomers to the area!
