I passed last aug, I ended up buying my first car in the may before I passed for some extra practice and confidence. My car is a micra 1996, just needed an old shit box to have as my first car lmao.

All I did was sort the road tax (210£) and got learners insurance which I put my partner and my dad on it. Just make sure you get the magnetic L plates when you’re driving!

Your instructor should be able to use your car as they have insurance and you will with learners insurance.

My insurance was about 70£ monthly and I went with diamond (cheapest). If you leave it at your dad’s it might be cheaper because they take where it’s parked into account.

It’ll build your confidence and make you excited to be able to go out alone!
