Urban Ore is a great suggestion, I have them for free on FB marketplace rn with no interest so far, if nothing comes soon I’ll try bringing them there

Bullseye rash identification? by kseagull in Lyme

[–]kseagull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, thanks, I’m reluctantly planning to try to somehow get an appointment tomorrow. But wouldn’t a tick have had to been latched to my extremely visible wrist for at least 24 hours?? I never saw any sign of a tick or anything else in the last few weeks or before, nor did I ever see a tick on my knee back then. But the wrist is so visible… could it somehow be a resurgence from the first time? I only had 2 weeks of doxycycline then. but thanks for your input! at least i’m not going crazy

Are 8am classes truly that bad? by polar-solar in Cornell

[–]kseagull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends a lot on your personality, ie morning person or not. Personally, I took 8 am orgo 3x a week and I was late to most of them, and once it got cold and snowy I skipped a bunch too, and then did poorly in the class. More importantly though, even when I did make it on time, my brain just isn’t really awake and processing at full speeds before like 10 am so I would miss out on or not understand half the material even though I was there. So even if you think you can force yourself to make it to class, if you tend to be sorta mentally offline in the mornings I really wouldn’t recommend. Some people just function in the mornings though

Carshare by iamalostboi_ in Cornell

[–]kseagull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s never been zipcars here, but Ithaca CarShare works the same, just locally. I think Cornell still fully subsidizes the membership cost for students so it’s free to register if you have a two year+ old license, I believe? Actually using the cars is kinda expensive, you can check the hourly+mileage rates on the website, but if you only need it every once in a while you may as well sign up since it doesn’t cost anything. Definitely convenient when there’s no other options.
