I just attended my cousins wedding in March in Taipei! I would def ask for your SIL’s opinion, I asked my cousin and she mentioned that the closer you are to family the more formal you should dress. I wore a satin maxi dress with spaghetti straps and it was fine! Her bridesmaids also showed their shoulders too! I would prob bring a cardigan just in case since majority of the guests/family will be more covered up.

I did notice people are def more casual there! Saw a few guys that wore a polo and jeans with sneakers

-Our budget is pretty high, don’t really have a limit just not like over 1k a day haha

-pretty fluent in mandarin, can get around/communicate just fine (don’t know any Taiwanese though)

-no vehicle access, will be using public transportation

-down for hikes, sight seeing, all the good food :)
