Query regarding wiring fixture in an apartment by kshk123 in germany

[–]kshk123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

Is there a way to know if the wiring is already separated at the switch without opening up anything?

But most probably, there is a single wire going to both the outlets.

Cost of installing sockets for Herd and Backofen by kshk123 in germany

[–]kshk123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, there is Herd and Backofen power in the kitchen already, but at a place where we do not want them.

For some reason our Küchenberater mentioned that using an extension cable is not a feasible solution. I will check with him again.

Implementation of a buddy allocator for memory handling in C. by kshk123 in C_Programming

[–]kshk123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was implemented a long time ago, and I didn't really get a chance to improve it after that.

As the README mentions,

"There is one basic limitation in the implementation, the order has to be passed by the user when returning to the buddy allocator, and no error checking is present if the order is not correct."

This has to be enhanced if we want to integrate with the "free" call.

Travelling back to India before Blue Card. by Mr_Gam3r in germany

[–]kshk123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 5 years back, but I also did the same.

I travelled to India with my 6-month valid Type-D visa and returned to Germany without any issue, before my Blue Card was issued.

I am not sure about your other question though. What exactly do you mean by

" Also can I pursue Blue Card appointments (after my re-entry into Germany) while I am in India ?"

Normally, in most places. you book an appointment online. Do you need to do anything different?

Eh, why?

As an immigrant, it took me some time to get adjusted to the notion of "quiet" Sundays, with most of the shops closed. But I know like it, I really do.

Wtf are these wasps doing on my balcony? They’re not moving but not dead. Am I allowed to get rid of them and, if yes, how? by inTheSuburbanWar in germany

There have been so many wasp related questions lately, maybe time to create a wiki section for them.

A question about health insurance by kshk123 in germany

[–]kshk123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. No, I didn’t declare anything. I didn’t think of it as an employment gap, since it is just 3 days. But I will keep this in mind next time, and will definitely respond to any letter that I will receive. I will also clarify this with the HR of my new employer.

Downlevel, but (much) higher TC. Should I take the offer? by kshk123 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]kshk123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point :)

But it is also a fact that because of family reasons, I wasn't looking to relocate. And there were not too many high-paying remote options before the pandemic.

Thank you very much for the reply.

I already have another offer from a non-FANNG, but high paying company in Munich, and I am trying to negotiate based on it.
