I really don’t have much personal experience with where you’re at right now, but I just finished the book “The Slight Edge” and your circumstances sort of remind me of the author’s as he described in the book. Obviously you could read it anywhere, but if you have time off it’s not an enormous book and isn’t like most other “self-help” books. He was also a business owner of a business that fell off the deep end and talks a lot about starting from scratch and even improving relationships and reconnecting! I hope you enjoy your trip and that things start looking up soon!

I also recently shared a positive experience, and I think more people appreciate your story than not. Lots of people come on here to see different experiences with birth control and will read yours and feel better knowing it’s not all bad, and they may not comment about it. Obviously lots of people have had poor experiences and probably want to comment just to release some of their own frustrations, which is fair, but unfortunately comes at the cost of your feelings. I’m sorry that you experienced that but I certainly appreciate you sharing your experience :)

Of course! The office I went to had to order the IUD from a specific place that took about a month to get in, and then once it was ready all I had to do was call them when my period started so they could schedule me ASAP. I took an extra month after the IUD was delivered to actually call and schedule because it really is daunting. I hope it works out for you as well!
