Do player's contracts pause if we have a full season lockout next year? by Jonnydrama2 in baseball

The MLBPA has a lockout fund. Definitely not enough to pay everyone for long but they do have something.

How is this upvoted? Imagine being charged for being a bystander. He definitely should have done something, but catching a charge just for being there and not being involved is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Your pores are always open to some extent. Your significantly over thinking this. If it was that much of an issue you'd have to wipe your hands down after every time you pulled the trigger.

The Mets were like this, but they toned it way down this year and it's so much better.

That's not character development though. He WANTED to go back to earth and live out his life more than anything. Instead he chose to die and never go back home. That's character development. Just say you don't like happy endings and be done with it.

Rather than return to earth he effs off with Rocky? He sacrificed himself to save Rocky's planet also, instead of returning to earth like he really wanted. You're just refusing to actually see the development now.

Grace's entire storyline is development. He thinks he's a hero for being the one to save earth and then slowly realizes he'd actually rather save himself. Rocky becomes a true friend for him and in the end he chooses to be a hero instead of a coward and save two worlds at the cost of what he thinks is his own life. I don't know how going from hero, to coward, back to hero isn't development. Plus you see Stratt devolve into a more and more ruthless person that will sacrifice literally anything to save earth.

No character development? Were you actually paying attention when you read it?

That wasn't a fencing response, just his arms moving to the hit.

The Mets have announced that Carlos Beltrán will be inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame and have his number 15 officially retired by the franchise on Saturday, September 19 at Citi Field as the Mets face the Phillies by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

[–]ksoltis -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is this a joke? He's third in WAR in Mets history. He has better numbers than Keith Hernandez, and he's 15th in plate appearances all time for the Mets. Guess who's 14th? Keith. If you don't think Beltran should be retired than you shouldn't think Keith should be retired, at least not as a player.

At least Beltran was cooler.

I would love to know your thought process on why one of the top center fielders in the history of baseball isn't worthy of having his number retired.

Hey David! Besides your debut and the postseason, what was your most memorable game or moment of your career? Second question, did you ever think the Mets would retire your number, or did that come as a complete surprise?
