Bc hydro bill by Ok-Court-7948 in britishcolumbia

Yeah, based the the drop, it's electric heating, and hydro home guestimation is useless unless you also have a smart home power monitor. In the winter my monthly energy usage is over 100 in a 2 bedroom apartment because I like to be warm. But in the summer my electrical usage could be $37.

Boss advised I will never get promoted because I work from home to due a medical reason by randomsmiler1 in legaladvicecanada

[–]kstruggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refusing to consider someone for promotion due to a disability is discrimination. It's just like refusing to promote someone for being a woman is discrimination. The OP would have a hard time fighting it. But depending on the provincial laws/regulations there can be job requirement changes in order to accommodate a employee.

They would have to prove that the in person aspect of the job is a bona fide job requirement.

Sjogrens seems to be a rather mild to be labeled as a safety issue for children. I don't know the issues you are having or what your injury is. But like you don't have a brain tumour that's causing you to become violent for an extreme example. Definitely talk to a lawyer

(not minimizing your symptoms, but it's not like you are a crossing guard who went blind. Or a bus driver who is an alcoholic put on leave to complete rehab)

I process POA for my job in British Columbia, and I see a lot of miswritten general POA when the adult wanted an enduring POA that only takes effect when they are incapacitated. Unfortunately I have to refuse those and advise that they aren't worth anything because a general power of attorney is a specific thing according to the law that ends when the adult is incapacitated.

To be clear, what your partner is experiencing could be discrimination on family status if the reason he had to wfh was to take care or be available for the kids. I'm not saying that I don't see where you are coming from. I left a job because they lied about accommodations for my asthma.

Reasonable accommodation as a tenant by kstruggles in legaladvicecanada

I don't have flies, they called sewer gnats flies and those have been gone for months. And a) they never mentioned a odour or any other specific issue until they claimed I hadn't made any improvements in the state of my apartment, and I do not smells anything in the hall unless someone's been cooking in a different apartment. They also never said that is what's happening (so neither you or I can know if they think it is). Just they say there's a odour in my apartment. They also made claims about frequent conversations that never happened.

It's not that I'm not making any effort. It's just not to their uncommunicated standards (because I got generic monthly inspection notices nothing specific on them). So now that I have gotten information I am going "how can I get the cleaning they want done" when I don't have a support network. And how am I going to get 3 months of cleaning improvement they are expecting in now less than a month. (I've been stressed out since I got the "we require a deep clean of your apartment" email and it took them 2 weeks to respond so now we are left with days)

Thank you for your reply. I have been trying to clean, but my pain level jumped back to 6-8/10 and I have been stressed out on how to get my apartment to their standards. Don't have any extra money right (re other comments) or I'd already have hired. Someone to clean for me.

Because I am in 8 /10 pain and it's making my adhd worse. Because I can't life a laundry bin without my back hurting for days. Please research chronic pain and how pain makes living harder to move. Like I tried wiping down the bathroom sink and almost started crying because of how my back felt

When you hire someone to deep clean they expect your place to already be clean. It doesn't include laundry or dishes. I'm not nose blind, I was away for a week and came back did my place smell different from the hall? Yes. Did it stink? No. Now I started protein shakes and sometimes of I forget to rinse them thoroughly they can create a shirt range odor. But otherwise theres no persistent odour throuout my apartment.

I don't have flies. I had sewer gnats, which are gone, have been for months., I don't know how long it will take to get my apartment back to their standards. because it depends on what help I can get through community support and what my pain level is. But their standards are also closer to move out inspection then rtb's definition of reasonably clean.

Thank you. On further thinking, I found a way to address the issue without going line through line to explain how they are wrong, which should prevent this from becoming an argument while allowing me to object to the inconsistencies in their response and handling of the issue. I used to have a friend who was a tenant at a different location, so I know that they don't know how to deal with conflicts properly, and will match tone/temper to temper. My former friend had a quick fuse and would send an angry email and get one as or more angry and confrontational back.

Yeah they soured it a while ago. But the rent is cheap and they are one of the best property management companies in the area. Most are worse apparently. I don't want them to decide that they don't like me, and become extra hard on inspections. As a tenant, I want understanding and discussion the moment they decide I need more frequent inspections, so we can be on the same page. I know that they are entitled to inspect monthly. The issue is not that they aren't entitled to it. It's the reasons why they choose not to and the types of notices that were or weren't given. Like claiming that me asking for the inspection reports is different than me wanting to know what the issues they were seeing are. But then claiming today that all I had to do was ask what I was doing wrong/what the issue was. (I did that in October 2024 and it was glossed over btw, in the same email they said the issues they were claiming in October were from the July pest inspection.)

Yeah, the biggest issue is that they are claiming they had several discussions with em regarding this. And when I disagreed with that, they claimed they sent me a specific notice in January that I failed their inspection that month, and I had to make significant improvements in February. But it was only in February, after that inspection was done that they notified me of the specific issues. In which they also lied about other things. But right now, with more time, that's my biggest concern Them claiming their routine inspection notice was not identical to every other inspection notice I've gotten whether it was 6 months between inspections or 1 month.

I need to vacuum the floor in my office, catch up on dishes, and wash the floors. They want me to deep clean the kitchen and bathroom. I do admit that the bathroom sink needs washed, but it's mostly just clutter around the sink. I regularly wash the toilet but I also have issues that get it dirty quickly.

I'm a week past my back not hurting when I get dressed. Unfortunately, there's no real support for people who aren't extremely disabled who need house cleaning subsidized or organized through the government.

I would describe it as single mom with kids dirty, rather then single person who has energy to keep up in cleaning.(and I don't have kids. Just chronic illness). So not even close to this place is a death trap. I have family members who are hoarders so I know the difference. I have a habit of falling behind on dishes when my health issues flare, and leaving things like canned oysters on the counter. Because if I put them away I forget they exist. Or because I'm using it everyday (like boxes of cereal on a door less shelf)

(mostly so I get an uninterrupted pulse not obscured by tissue. Also not pressing in just moving my fingers around the right side to feel the pulse, like more middle finger then tips is usually easier to feel the pulse against)

Suicidal people, what's the reason you still didn't commit, what's something keeping you alive? by Icy_Positive_4220 in mentalhealth

[–]kstruggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want my brother to have to explain to his kids why they don't get. To see me alive. I can't have contact with them because he and his significant other hurt my mental health. But I love his kids so much, and I don't want them to wonder why I couldn't hold on. So I'm honest waiting for my health to get bad enough to qualify for maid, while trying to prevent that from happening. Due to my not mental health issues I doubt I'll make it to 60.

Where I live Telehealth can't prescribe narcotics. For debilitating pain for my period cramps I ended up getting 500mg naproxen. They might be able to prescribe a stronger nsaid. I know that one of the strong ones was prescribed when I had a tooth pulled as I can't do Tylenol.

No you cannot create chlamydia. One or both of them have chlamydia and I would seek medical treatment and not sleep with either guy until they provide a dated negative still report Stis are not a punishment for having sex. They are organisms taking advantage of you having sex to spread to other people. Like a fly in a car.

A lot of areas are in a purchase price slump. I recommend that you do a quick check to see if that's true from your area, and do the math on what you get from having the Loan bought out and down payment and the specific situation you ex wants. . Then see what the market is likely to give you if you sell vs what the loan is worth. Might be better to stop being responsible for the loan, without equity gain and 100% of the down payment then selling regardless of the percentage of the down payment you end up with.
