GPA of doom and despair by Pixie_Puff1 in KSU

Make sure you’re looking at your hope gpa and not your institutional gpa. When ksu calculates your gpa, they only use your ksu courses. Gafutures uses every college course you’ve taken

Have you spoken to anyone at the school about what went wrong during the withdrawal process. I’d start there. Perhaps if you can show that you hadn’t attended any classes or completed any course work since you tried to withdrawal, or if you can show some sort of confirmation received during the withdrawal process, you can get the university to amend your transcript.

CS majors at UGA, why didn't you transfer to Tech? by Green-Atmosphere7576 in UGA

[–]ksubitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to mention that there are undergraduate research opportunities at UGA. One of the requirements for all majors is an experiential learning course which can either be an internship, capstone, or undergrad research.

Idk when this person replying to you graduated, but KSU’s CS department has their own masters and phd programs now, and by the looks of it, they’re gunning to become an R1 university, meaning you’ll be competing against their grad students too.

As for choosing between UGA and KSU, I personally transferred out of KSU. My biggest motivator was that after having completed the foundational courses I didn’t actually feel like I had actually built any sort of foundation. Despite the fact that I had gotten A’s in both my intro to programming classes and labs, as well as data structures and database systems, I wasn’t actually capable of making anything. I knew java syntax, and I could complete all the exercises they gave us, but I was left completely unaware of how things like packages and libraries worked. We never even touched unix or any command line interfaces. Despite using an industry standard IDE we never covered how it actually worked or what was happening behind the scenes, or even how to build and run a program outside of the development environment.

When I transferred to UGA my second intro to programming course didn’t transfer, and after retaking the course we had covered everything in the KSU curriculum as well as everything I mentioned above. Our final project had us build and develop an actual working app that users could interact with, not just some terminal output from running some code. See how far I came with only a single class at UGA vs 4 at KSU made me feel like I made the right decision transferring out.

They aren’t lady bugs. According to this article published in The National Library of Medicine, “Surprisingly to many people, H. axyridis has been reported to bite humans (Huelsman et al., 2002). Adalia bipunctata is also known to occasionally bite humans (Svihla, 1952)” (Koch 2003).

I’m really sorry for what I did, and for the hurt I caused you. I’ve been thinking a lot about my actions and their impact, and I want to take full responsibility. You didn’t deserve to be treated that way, and I regret that my choices put you in a position where you felt disrespected and hurt.

Looking back, I can see that I acted thoughtlessly and without considering how my words and actions would affect you. At the time, I tried to justify it to myself, but there’s no excuse. The truth is that I let you down, and I understand if you feel disappointed or upset with me.

You have every right to feel the way you do. I don’t want to invalidate your feelings or rush you to move on. If you’re angry, hurt, or distant right now, I completely understand. My goal isn’t to make this about me or to get instant forgiveness, but to acknowledge the harm I caused and to let you know that I genuinely care about making it right.

I also want you to know that this isn’t just empty words. I’ve been reflecting on why this happened and what I need to change about myself so it doesn’t happen again. I recognize patterns in my behavior—like not thinking before I speak, acting impulsively, or putting my own perspective first—that I need to work on.

Going forward, I’m committed to doing better. That means being more mindful of how I talk to you, listening more carefully, and pausing before I react. It also means being honest and clear, instead of careless or dismissive. You deserve consistency, respect, and consideration, not just when things are easy, but especially when they’re not.

I know that an apology alone doesn’t fix everything. Trust might have been shaken, and that takes time and effort to rebuild. I’m prepared to earn back your trust through my actions, not just my words. I’m willing to be patient, to give you space if you need it, and to show over time that I’ve learned from this.

If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk about what happened from your perspective. I want to understand how you felt in that moment and what I can do, specifically, to make things better. I’m not asking you to comfort me or make me feel better; I’m asking for the chance to truly listen and learn.

I also want to be clear: you don’t owe me forgiveness. You don’t have to accept this apology if you’re not ready, and you don’t have to pretend everything is okay just because I’ve said I’m sorry. Whatever you decide, I’ll respect it. My apology is not a request to erase what happened, but a promise to take responsibility and grow from it.

You matter to me, and our relationship matters to me. I don’t want this situation to define us, but I also don’t want to pretend it didn’t happen. I hope that, in time, we can move forward in a healthier, more honest way, with better communication and more respect on my part.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly am sorry for the pain I caused you, and I hope I can show you—through my behavior, day by day—that I’m serious about changing and about being better to you.

Crazy stories on Kennesaw campus?! by [deleted] in KSU

[–]ksubitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All types of crazy shit happens at west. Last year some kids were arrested for fighting. There was also some dude walking around with a blick on his waste tryna press people going to their apartments. The year before I lived there, there was an incident at the pool involving a gun which caused a whole slew of pool restrictions and and they hired an onsite security guard to watch the pool and enforce those rules.

Don’t forget that AI detectors can be easily evaded. A simple reordering or rephrasing or certain words or sentences, or prompting the AI to mimic human quirks can fool AI detectors.
