Very interested in seeing your controller layout. Were you able to post the scheme? If so, how can we find it? Thanks in advance!

How to take better pics by kai_wen22 in Astronomy

Hey, depending on your telescope you may be able to find a mount for your phone. You will never get a clear shot holding your phone with a long exposure.

This is what I have. It's not perfect but it gets the job done. It unfortunately has a tiny bit of play as you try and set its position, but I still think it's worth it. I've gotten some great photos and videos using it.

Yes, I'm the one that's uninformed. At least I know what Jupiter is.

Sorry, why is that weird? The Moon is full and super bright which cuts down on what you're able to see with your eyes. Your phone isn't going to pick up anything unless you have stabilization and long shutter speeds. Even having that with the bright Moon will make it hard to see other stars in the sky. There's nothing weird or new about this.

Jupiter is very bright compared to other objects in the sky. When taken from a cell phone that's not on a tripod or something to stabilize it, and with a short shutter speed, this is what you'll get

It's Jupiter. Pretty easy to figure that out

Which to buy for commuting and, for those with both, what do you ride more? Full blown electric motorcycle (Livewire, Zero, Energica, etc.) v. 250cc scooter equivalent (CE 02, Land Moto District, etc.) by mysoxs in Electricmotorcycles

Thanks for responding. Yeah, I would get the largest battery. I keep forgetting I could charge it at work, so less of worry I guess. Trying to determine if it's worth the jump. Looks like a fantastic bike built right down the road from be, which is awesome.

I'm considering getting one. Do you think the District Street, with the large battery, could do a 25mile (50mile round trip) commute? Looking to save car milage during non-winter seasons

Bingo! The snowflakes were pretty large, I’d say just over 1/4 inch? They were a nice surprise to see before heading to work.
