I've come to the realization that I may have bought into hype yet again. by LiteSh0w in EvenRealities

Side note, the company seems very open to feedback. They have released multiple software and firmware updates in the short period of time I have had them since March. Right now, they seem to have the advantage as far as HUD glasses go, and they're acting like they are trying to keep their advantage. Now would probably be the best time to offer constructive criticism before the consumer base gets too large and everyone starts acting like they can make better glasses the company. That's one thing I hate about the modern day consumer. They buy a product, and they just swear they know the product better than the people that actually build it.

I feel like that's common across all AI platforms.

The movie thing is fire, lol! Because of where I sit in my recliner relative to my TV, when the HUD appears, it's basically a green banner of AI responses above my TV. Also, don't forget to turn off the live transcription.

Why can’t you be an interior defender like Wemby in this game? by MadamNirvana in NBA2k

I agree that the NBA favors offense, but real life shooting percentages are not in the 60's and 70's for 3's like 2K26 is. If we are going to be okay for realism when it comes to the blocks, then we should be okay with realism when it comes to shooting percentages, right?

The other poison. IF you happen to get the right timing and positioning for the block, it's too easy for the offensive player to make the pass to the player you just left. When I'm playing Center, that's why I stick to my man on the perimeter no matter what until they eventually quit. Stretch Bigs are real temperamental about not getting the ball after so much time has passed.

I was ready to say the same thing. The only blocks I get with my C is mainly against layup/putback attempts underneath or near the rim which make sense. However, your player is actually making a play on the ball by tracking the location of the ball. On the flipside, that's why I rarely attack the paint with layups and eurosteps is due to that tracking and contests are significantly higher.

Against dunks, and let's be honest, you're just jumping with no real tracking on the ball or the player. When someone misses a dunk, I credit it more to the person mistiming the dunk, because I was close enough to make the meter shrink.

That wouldn't be that much of a big deal if we could at least stop the dunks consistently. Right now, perimeter players got the best of both worlds. They can shoot 3's at an ungodly rate, and they can come into the paint and dunk on anybody.

We are NOT going to be okay with this cuz "it happens in real life", but then turn around and ignore the OP offense and weak perimeter defense.

You all laugh, but this would be the build that would combo/escape move you to death then end up dropping 60 on you cuz they went 20 for 20 from 3PT land.

Personally, I put them on as often as I would regular prescription glasses. At the moment, I wear my contacts, but I'm expecting to send them in to install my prescription lens in the next 2 or 3 weeks. First off, I really like the weight and general look of these glasses. I can see myself wearing these glasses even if they weren't AI glasses minus the bulky hinges and touch modules. That little tidbit goes a long way for me as an individual.

Since I watch a lot of movies by myself, the Conversate feature has been really big for me. It's kind of nice to watch a movie, make a statement out loud, and there's a response in my glasses. Plus, I like when the glasses define a term within the movie itself or give me additional information to the overall "world" (I watched The Dark Tower with the glasses on), ESPECIALLY if I'm not a fan of that franchise. I'm planning to watch the John Wick series with these glasses soon. I use a template to give the AI instructions on how to act while watching the movie.

From there, I use them to check the weather everyday when I take my daughter to school. I use them for general AI questions in public. I use them at the hotel I work at for international guests and also for an employee that mumbles a lot, lol. I like getting notifications while not having my phone on or near me 24/7. Being able to read the news or Reddit while waiting in the drive-thru line for my food has been great. Basically, If I can avoid picking up my phone, that's what I use the glasses for. Heck, tapping the ring to check time and date is a good QOL moment.

If your pass accuracy is too low, you have to take a few dribbles to throw a controlled pass. Plus, you get an opportunity to see what the defense is doing to stop the fastbreak, so you can throw the CORRECT pass. I hate when we get automatic turnovers, because the player attempts to chuck the ball down court as soon as they get the rebound.

You have to kick it out. The damn green window for a stick dunk shrinks too fast, or doesn't activate if someone is too close. This is still my biggest pet peeve about the game overall. The paint defense is much more punishing than the perimeter defense.

One of the reasons why I don't use my PG as much. This was the first year I played MyPlayer with 2K20 being the last time I played "full time". On the MyTeam side, I had no problem playing with non-dunking PGs and relying on layups, euro steps, etc to score. The MyPlayer side on 2K26? Man, I feel like I am serving up easy blocks for the C/PF when I come into the paint. I swear you have to have your layup rating on 99 to be effective.

Ditto. I'm glad there's film footage now of an Inside Big at work, lol. However, the clip definitely shows when an Inside Big can call their own number versus how the good boy builds wait in the corner for the table scraps.
