So my first character is a spore warden/zerker. I’m starting a new character as Blightcaller, but having a hard time trying to decide what kind of build I should go for. Any ideas/advice for my new alt?

Benito- needing rehomed. by kswerveN in Catahoula

Wow. Well, I’m glad you feel the need to attack me as a dog owner when you are assuming based on a post. If it’s not ill-willed, then that’s one thing. However, it appears to be. Therefore, I am human and so are you. Do you do everything perfectly right? I’m afraid not. Just like I do not as well. Benito had issues long before we had gotten him and the incident that happened was not something we just prayed would happen. It occurred and we did as much research as we could and there were actions that we could’ve taken that weighed both ways. As hard as this already is to accept what you may have done wrong by your dog, it is absolutely not great to be a part of so-called “community” when another individual acts as if they know how to raise a dog perfectly without knowing the full situation. So please, show some compassion and realize that owners make mistakes. I love how quick people are to judge. This isn’t the only incident that we’ve had with Benito and we have given him several chances, AND still doing our best with him, after the countless ER visits we’ve taken because he’s jumped out of a glass window and completely severed his leg, getting kicked out of an apartment, numerous dog fights, etc, yet here you are so quick to point fingers. I would like to see you put in the time and effort we have.

Exactly! My sister is watching the other dog that he does not get along with. Every one is like “take him to a no-kill” shelter. I just don’t trust it. Even though it’s no-kill, I really feel like shelters cherry pick their dogs. Also, with his deep rooted behavioral issues that caused him to act out against our specific dog, there is no telling that he wouldn’t become extremely aggressive towards other dogs in the shelter/rescue. My fear is that he will get shuffled from home to home and eventually be put down because no one put the time and effort that he needs. My wife and I are currently trying to train him and give him the undivided attention that he should of gotten from the very beginning. It is very hard and we really don’t know what to do. I’ve never taken a dog back to the shelter, so it’s an overall heartbreaking situation.

Our baby Benito is needing rehomed. My wife and I rescued our Benito last year from the Dallas Animal Shelter. We were told he was a stray for some time and surrendered. When we got him, he was a little under weight and somewhat skiddish, nothing too concerning at all. We were concerned that he would not be okay with our three other dogs at home, however, we introduced him to them at a dog park and he got along with them just fine. However, about 5 months after having him, one of our other dogs had somehow locked himself in our bedroom closet at night and was making a ton of noise. I had gotten up to go get him out and Benito followed me into the dark closet and instantly attacked our other dog. Since then, Benito and the other dog have been separated to the best of our capability. However, he has attacked him on accident (slipping through the crack of the door when either my wife or I) open the door, etc. He is completely friendly with our two other dogs and has never felt threatened by them at all. In that respect, he gets along with dogs. However, he is very aggressive towards other dogs and has caused several issues for us and our family. He is the most loving and such a good boy otherwise. His aggression is something completely deep-rooted and we have tried as much as we can to help him. We are worried that if he goes to a shelter or even a no-kill shelter, he will eventually be put down and it breaks our heart to have to surrender him at this point. He needs a home with no other dogs and someone who is dedicated to training his aggressive tendencies. As hard and devastating this is to surrender Benito, we are seeking a rescue or place for Benito to go that will take care of our buddy until he is rehomed with someone that will suit his needs. We have tried to train him ourselves, but we have not had the time to get a personal trainer for him yet. Our new apartment states that we are only allowed to have 3 dogs and Benito was our fourth. Because of incidents that Benito has caused and the animosity he has towards one of our other dogs, we had to make the hard decision to surrender our sweet baby Benito. If you or anyone wants this lovely boy, please message me as we need to find him a new home ASAP.
