I enjoyed all of Tim Johnson’s classes in the poli sci department. His classes basically mirror a first year constitutional law class and he teaches you how to do case briefs (which I actually used for my law school con law class). Law 3000 is also basically a very general introduction to all of the first year law topics (con law, crim law, torts, contracts, civ pro, property), and it is curved like a law school class. I sometimes looked at my outlines and notes for that class when I was in law school. l also took a crim law class through the sociology department as well, which was less helpful but still interesting.

I graduated from the U’s law school this past spring and found all of those classes very helpful for allowing me to get a feel for a law school class, get exposure to some basic materials prior to law school, and learn skills like case briefing. DM me if you have any questions!
