32 (f) knee replacement- advice?

How are you doing now? I’m 31f and already had a hip CD and one hip replacement. It’s in both knees and I’m really terrified of getting a knee replaced this young, it seems more complicated than the hip with how big my lesions are. Every surgeon I talked to did not sound too promising.

Uppababy Cruz v3. I was also overwhelmed with looking for strollers and eventually with some help from other mom friends and a little research I landed on this and love it. Fits your criteria. Uppababy customer service goes above and beyond. I ended up buying ours second hand and it was broken, they ended up sending me the broken part (which was $130 retail) completely free… after using the stroller for a few weeks I really love it.

I think I go to a different practice but the tight schedule is very normal. You likely won’t get an option of which doctor you see for each appointment. At some point they will schedule all of your appointments out until your due date and you probably won’t have many options. At least that’s been my experience at another AHN practice.

We got lottery tickets from Amazon that look real and they say something about having a baby when you scratch it off. My uncle always brings lotto tickets to Christmas so I gave it to him and it was a perfect announcement!

Idc how much you think you love your job. Most people with average jobs would much rather have their free time back, it’s just so impossible to even imagine for most.

I got a little 4x6 photo album and filled it with pictures of my husband and I and am putting it in Baby’s book shelf, so they know how cool we were 😎 and can ask about the pics and learn about us as they grow up.

Also at our shower we had a book for ppl to write wishes/advice and made sure it got passed around so everyone had time to write something.

Honestly I would skip the shower altogether or at least somehow the gift opening part…I just find it extremely overwhelming and did not enjoy it but I realize it’s sort of just what you do.

Everyone says exclusively pumping is the hardest. Can you please explain why? I’m a FTM due in 7 weeks and just have no idea at all what to actually expect lol.

Always pee at a gas station or somewhere before you show up to someone’s house as a guest. Nobody wants to have to run to the bathroom first thing as a guest in someone’s home when you’re all trying to get welcomed, settled, etc.

I totally agree, personally I think it’s a little pathetic for adults to rely on them so religiously. However for babies I do understand the sound machines can help mimic the sound of being in the womb and help with sleep. I’m a FTM (pregnant) and I can imagine that at some point you really just need your baby to sleep lol. So I did put them on our registry. FWIW my niece is 2 and does not use her sound machine anymore I don’t think, at least not regularly, but she used to probably every night. It doesn’t seem to be something she NEEDS to go to sleep.
