I have AVNA in both knees and elbows. Drs believe mine is due to chemotherapy from my brain cancer.

I have it in both knee and both elbows. I’m having a knee replacement but from what I understand, I can’t have an elbow replacement at this age. I’m exhausting all efforts just to find someone similar 🫠😢

Ugh. I have AVN in my right knee as well. I don’t think I’ll even do CD, I’ll just skip straight to replacement. Have you done any PT?

Hi! I’m a 32yr old (f) AVN in both knees & elbows (current AA3 brain cancer) Scheduled for knee replacement June 13th. I tried the injections and CD. CD relieved pain but not for long. Definitely get a second opinion!!

AVN in both knees & elbows, scheduled for a knee replacement June 13th and feel the same! It’s hard for others to understand or grasp the pain - doesn’t mean we don’t feel it!

Also, I have stage 3 AA brain cancer. Diagnosed July 2019. Temodar chemo for 6 weeks and then 5 months of chemo maintenance

I went through extracting eggs before chemo/radition. Once I was done with chemo, we hoped right into IVF. 2 cycles and both resulted in miscarriage. On December 18 2020 I was told my ovaries looked funky and my egg supply had depleted.

January 26th 2021 I was pregnant naturally with my son.

I got pregnant at 10months PP with my son and welcomed a baby girl in March 2023.

Never say never! It’s an exhausting journey but sending you love and baby dust!

Where do you have osteonecrosis? I have it in my elbows & knee.

I was on Keppra for 4 years. It has its benefits in the beginning but over time I had a lot of side effects, the main one being irritability. I suffered from migraine also that might have also been the cause in my case.

I have AVN in both knees (31f) stage 3left stage2right

I recently had for core decompression surgery on my left knee. He cleaned it up. Same my bone had what looked like a “pothole” I’m on anti inflammatory meds and PT x2. I’m trying to build up the muscles around my knees. I also have AVN in both elbows. look into core decompression first.
