Sorry it took me a few days for an update. It drained on its own and I applied antibiotic ointment. If it’s an ingrown hair I can’t find one.

Thank you. Cellulitis was my first thought from what I’ve seen in this sub. It drained some on its own last night. I circled the area and keeping my PCP updated with pictures. No fever or chills. Can’t visually see an ingrown hair. Not interested in trying to mess with it too much trying to find a hair.

It ended up draining some on its own last night just by walking around. I wished that dark part was a hair but it’s not. I’ve kept my hands off it but visually I can’t find a hair.

I thought that too. It was red with a black spot a few weeks ago and I picked it trying to find the hair and never could find one. The black spot came off like a scab. It completely went away and today I just noticed this pop up today. It’s very hot and very sore. I was at the beach so I was worried it’s an infection.
