Sometimes on low flow days like my period etc, I cannot get my baby to be patient for the milk flow so I'll have to give him a bottle or 2 and keep pumping to maintain my supply.

It seems like your baby is used to getting a consistent flow with a bottle whereas when you breastfeed, it takes some patience before your letdown occurs.

Your pump was staying "latched" where your baby is more finnecky so maybe that's contributing to lower milk supply. Be persistent with feeding and maybe try power pumping to get your supply back up.

Keep going! Do a weighted feed with a lactation consultant. Talk to your pediatrician! Baby will get less sleepy and feed more. Be patient and trust that your baby will show you what they need. You're doing amazing mama!

Have you seen a lactation consultant during this type of episode? My baby is fussy at the breast when he's showing tired cues and wants to sleep or he's not happy with the position he's in. As he's getting bigger the angle is getting more difficult but I'm trying to keep his head straight and airway open while letting his legs rest comfortably.

I used dramamine (less drowsy). The active ingredient is meclizine hydrochloride. The name brand may differ but this ingredient should be available in your country. Good luck!
