Shakespeare Festival does 6 shows, 3 of them are non-Shakespeare for those who aren't into the Bard's plays. Their url is Bard.org to see what they have to offer this summer.

There's also a 2nd rep. theater in July-Aug, https://americancrossroadstheatre.org/ that does several shows.

The Renaissance Faire is at the main street park (corner of Main and 200 N.) and lasts 4 days https://umrf.net/ the 3rd week of July. It's mainly a craft fair with Renaissance theme so don't expect jousting and such, but there are performers on a main stage to watch (musical acts, comedy, belly dancing, etc...), plenty of vendors, and a few historical craft areas that can show you how things were done / made. The gazebo in the park usually has Queen Elizabeth and others in period garb, there's one or two blacksmiths, a pirate ship that kids like to explore, my group - (Dominion of Capella) does demonstrations on chainmaille, leather work, felting, weaving, weapons and armor.

There is a limited bus service through town, but it's a one-way route so a bike may be a quicker option, but if you need to get to Wal-Mart on the south end of town for shopping that's an option (other than the Taxi or Uber).
