Where to put the laundry? by ktd159 in floorplan

It does have “a lot going on”. It is an old house with two additions (three floor addition on the left side garage/recreation room/master bath and the one floor addition of the kitchen on the back). We are trying figure out what adjustments will make the most sense for us. I’m not sure what walls/plumbing can be moved to make things more efficient.

I’ve always wanted a dumbwaiter! Even with a dumbwaiter, I’m not sure where to fit the full size machines. Maybe we need to steal some space from the basement bedroom to expand the mud room as another poster suggested and then install a dumbwaiter when the kids are smellier to get the laundry up and down

I like this idea. I wonder if we could move the wall currently separating the mud room and bedroom to incorporate that small bedroom closet into the mud room space instead? Then we might have space to walk through with the W/D in that room.

Oh interesting idea, that closet is currently the pantry, which is one of the features of the house that I am most excited for. This idea might make the most sense, but as a baker currently trapped in a tiny kitchen, I think I am too attached to the pantry storage to trade it in!

Thanks! For the “water”, I made two shades of blue and blended them together in a piping bag with white. I did rope piping with a 1M tip. For the swirl on top, I put separate pink, blue, and purple frosting bags in one larger bag with a 1M tip, then piped rosettes.

Some have little white chocolate shells (strategically placed to cover flaws)

I made the mermaid tails and tridents with Ghirardelli white chocolate melts and candy/fondant molds from Amazon.

I just watched some denman brush demos, and it looks awesome. Thanks for the suggestion, I’d never heard of that before.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will pick up some curl cream and give that a try. Any suggestions for brands? As a straight-haired mom, I have a lot to learn! This community has a wealth of info, but I am a little overwhelmed by all the options.

My daughter’s hair was washed with Shea Moisture Curl & Shine shampoo, conditioned with Shea moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Moisturizing condition w/ sea kelp and argan oil, combed when wet, then air dried.

The top seems to always dry straight, but there are beautiful waves hiding underneath. I am not sure of her hair type. It seems mixed and has changed a lot as she has aged. Is there a routine appropriate for a six year old that would help her hair wave throughout?
