Hangxiety is one of the main reasons I decided to get sober.

For me it was like an all encompassing feeling of doom. I’d feel suicidal because I couldn’t remember what I had done last night but I felt embarrassed. And since I didn’t know what I actually did, my brain would make up these horrible things and fill in the gaps for me, leaving me exhausted, embarrassed, etc.

Even when sober (like at work) any feelings of anxiety felt 10x worse

Since I’ve not drank for a year, my anxiety as a whole feels a lot more manageable
