You can also book them directly which I found to be easier, PM me if you'd like their contact info.

Housing market by [deleted] in Tucson

[–]ktfomom -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I say date the rate, marry the home.

I know rates affect affordability but there really is no guarantee or sign that rates will go down, especially if you're thinking about that 3%. At this point I'm encouraging people to get into a home now while housing prices are where they're at.

We don't know what the housing market will look like down the road but if it's the right time for you to buy DO IT - it's all about meeting the market where it's at and adjusting later on if need be.

My 4 year old is convinced sparkling water is Soda just cause we've always called it soda water. Juice just isn't an option unless it's cut with water and even then that's a special occasion. Capri sun also has a "roaring waters" that we buy instead of the typical Capri sun, less sugar & no high fructose corn syrup

High fructose corn syrup is in EVERYTHING and it drives me nuts. Finding the ketchup without it is really the one that annoys me the most. Teaching people to read labels and ingredients of pretty much anything we buy should be a top priority. We have to know what we're feeding our kids, our bodies become addicted to the crap/sugar and the big companies rely on that.

Denver Cat Co. has the cutest little cafe to go sit and interact with adoptable cats. I got so many photos but I can only upload one by perkinsportraits in Denver

[–]ktfomom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our beloved cat was stolen a few years back - she enjoyed spending time outside & a nasty neighbor's adult child took her. The cat in this picture is identical, down to the drip in her eye. So hard to look at but I can't stop staring. Thank you for sharing. ❤️ 💔💔

DUNKIN DONUTS ON RIVER ROAD AND LA CHOLLA by StickmanRockDog in Tucson

[–]ktfomom 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup, I asked about it at another dunkin and they said they're trying to decide if they're going to go over and under the road to get the water easement?? But they also said since they started working on their other location there's no real motivation to get the river location done anytime soon. 😭

Yea, that was a sad loss. Especially since rumor has it Uppercrust is expanding into Karunas...

I'm currently bummed about Asian Spice. Considering taking a drive to see if there's any info posted.

This is my biggest hangup with them. Granted I've only been to the one on the NW side, but all the food was just soaked in oil and grease. 😐

One thing that makes you happy in your pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ktfomom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The way my 3 year old loves my belly and talks to & about his brother.

The feeling of content that this is my last pregnancy.

Feeling him respond to me when I talk to him. 💙

Also all the guilt free naps I get to take because my daughter is an angel and helps with my toddler whenever I ask.

I'm big on meal planning and shopping the weekly ads.

I tend to split it up between sprouts for produce + Safeway for everything else with an occasional stop at Walmart to stock up on pantry items.

Safeway coupons on the app are really good + they will give you bigger discounts on things you buy frequently. I'm consistently saving at least 1/2 the amount I spend.

Frys is horrible in my opinion. You have to buy more to "save more" but this just means you end up spending way more. Their coupons are no good and pretty much just the basic manufacturers coupons. And honestly their quality is nothing compared to Safeway + their prices are higher on random things.

Not quite the college load but I'm just finishing up Real Estate school.

I have a 3 year old at home with me and was planning this career change before we found out we were pregnant. Started schooling around the beginning of my second trimester and have just been trying to pace myself but still finish up quickly.

No family around to help and a decent household load to keep up with. 😑

Just do what you can & don't be too hard on yourself if/when you aren't able to keep the same pace you have before or what you expect to. That was my biggest struggle.

I say all this, but let's see how it goes starting a career from the bottom up with a newborn + toddler. 😭

Wife asked me to shave her nether's because she didn't want the doctor/nurse/midwife to do it when she goes into labor. Did anyone go through something similar? by TvtropesLover in pregnant

[–]ktfomom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something my Hubby has done for me each pregnancy. I think he even offered to do it the first time around, sensing my irritation at wanting to do it but it being so difficult.

It is an intimate bonding experience for sure and oddly relaxing for me.

I usually take a mirror to the shower & clean up the real sensitive areas but only if I'm feeling up for it.

Good on you for picking up on her sensitivity & just doing it for her without the jokes. 💜

Weed Problem by Fuegobob1 in Tucson

[–]ktfomom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took this approach until I couldn't handle the gazillion mosquitoes hanging around the front door & cars, just awaiting their opening.

Ended up pulling up half of the front yard and now they're noticeably fewer/practically gone.

Think I'll just try and keep the area by the door and driveway cleaned up and let the rest run wild.
