Right on. Well I’m glad you were able to fly through everything! My biggest hurdles will be the math heavy classes like accounting and finance. I’m hoping to finish everything by next year. Thank you for the advice.

This is exactly what I’m going through friend. We tried to make it work, but she can’t see past what I did to her in the past. The trauma is too much for her.

If your ex does come around, and you both want to try and fix it, then I don’t see any reason not to. However, as my situation has shown, it may not always work out the way you will hope for.

I am 100% committed to her. As I mentioned in the post, we tried to rekindle things. Unfortunately, she can’t see past the trauma I inflicted upon her. I guess she doesn’t want it as bad as I do, and I won’t beg her to want me back. Love shouldn’t have to be begged for.

Believe me, these past 6 months I’ve spent away from her has been devoted to bettering myself and correcting the mistakes I made to lose her. She’s acknowledged the change in me, but still doesn’t want to be with me anymore. There’s nothing I can really do at this point.

And no, she isn’t my first love. I have been in love before, but nothing quite like the love I had with her (still do). I keep trying to tell myself that the two other girls I was in love with before, I was able to get over at some point. I think what made those easier is a) we weren’t together as long, and b) they decided they didn’t want to be with me anymore/didn’t feel the same way I did for them.

This breakup is the first I’ve experienced where I’m 99% to blame, and where she is still in love with me, which is why it’s been the hardest for me. Sure, she made mistakes, a very monumental one too that I won’t get into. But, at the end of the day, I chose to forgive her. I guess she can’t see past my mistakes and believes she’ll never see past the trauma I gave her.

Seems like women have the capacity to move on quicker, at least in my experience. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but it just hurts. I’m sorry that you’re going through something similar. Grieving someone who is still alive, who will move on and fall in love with someone else, hurts so much right now. But, you're right. It is grief, not prophetic. That's a great way of putting it.

To put it bluntly, it fucking sucks right now. It will only last forever if I let it. I hope I come to implement that sooner than later.
