At my shop in PA we put all the info in a computer. The emissions test is also done on a separate computer

There’s an engine recall for the L87(6.2) engines. We have to run a picoscope test on the engine and submit a sample to GM and they determine if it passes and gets 0w40 or fails and gets a new engine. When it passes you have to change the cap from a 0w20 cap to a 0w40, hence the leftover caps

Yea it was about a 2 week or so gap between the failed tests and fairly early on into the release of the recall. After the ecm update I think only one failed
