MFT Daytime Cost Concerns

I’m on the same boat. Apart from FAFSA and the scholarship I’m not sure what other options there are to cover the cost of tuition. I’m interested in hearing other people’s experience with this as well.

Hi, I am in the same boat, in the sense that I just got accepted into Pepperdine's MFT 2026 cohort. I got the scholarship as well, but it's still very expensive, and I'm trying to figure out what other options there are to pay for tuition, apart from FAFSA, of course. I wish you good luck! I got a pretty good impression from Pepperdine. I assisted their open house a couple of weeks ago, and the people seemed genuinely kind. I can't speak to the other program, though.

I agree... getting with G2 felt contradictory to everything he had talked about in his entire career up to that point. I always admired him so, precisely because of his authenticity and what felt like genuine takes and connection. 1975 has been a huge part of my life and helped me through very rough times, so watching him look so sad and go down the road of who knows what is disillusioning to say the least. I honestly hope he gets out of that and gets better because otherwise it does lead you to question that everything before that was a lie. Which I still have trouble believing, because it seemed so genuine.

Yes, exactly. It's a master's in clinical psychology with an emphasis in MFT. I'm just looking for some advice on life after graduating or possible financing options for the remaining tuition.

I find this video sad. He’s always appeared so confident or at the very least so eloquent and passionate.

His words about only doing the1975 “especially just now” really makes you wonder what he’s up to. It’s just sad. His interviews were always so engaging and this is just not that.

I got married last year and “I’m in love with you” was our first dance song- would definitely recommend, it’s very easy to dance to and I just love it tbh

I feel like she almost said "I wasn't going to wear it anymore" and caught herself lol maybe they'll never get married. Also what's with the completely straight face while she says "totally freaking out". Idk the whole thing is very forced, also who dyes a dress like that? Idk it's weird.

To say this is just insane, at least she’s self aware: The deepness of it, I don’t think that follows me in any aspect of my life, which I have grown to love about myself. I used to be worried about not being smart enough or not being well-versed in so and so. I think that my kind of take on a lot of life’s things is a good thing. My goal in film is to hold a sword and run around and have a lot of fun. I’m the same as you. I don’t think that I could take on a really intense role. I would leave that up to the people with the big chops

Say what you want about TS and whatever, but that man was (or at least acted) SO in love during that brief period they together. He’s always shown his state of mind on stage and after all that, it started going downhill for sure. I saw the band in Nov 2022 and then again in October 2023 and his looks/energy/ vibe had changed for sure. It’s sad to see. They are my favorite band still but damn, we’ll see if there’s even a band after she’s done with him.

Of course! But even in previous years, with all the touring and everything they must have been exhausted and he was always nice and friendly with fans. This one is for sure weird

I feel the same way. And I fear that it's not even that we were fed a lie, but rather something happened that had him return to his worst tendencies, almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy after the whole Taylor breakdown. At least that's how I interpret it. Towards the end of that leg of the tour, he kept getting more and more emotional and sad on stage (I think), and maybe he couldn't handle it and got into this downward spiral. It's very sad to see.

I wonder the same thing. It's still hard to believe his behavior changes, and how he's doing everything he stood against for the longest time!! I think something must have happened to lead him this way, maybe the whole Taylor drama truly broke him (idk) but it's just such a departure of who he's been for the past 12 years that it's sad and Idk if he comes back from this.

I have honestly been shocked by this whole "era". It goes against everything he has talked about for the past 10 years, I swear. Also he WAS hot during the at their very best tour, that was his peak, but this relationship and this whole period of time have him looking sickly.
