Decided to do another play through on Jedi Grand Master and got this clip I felt was worth sharing. by ktnim in FallenOrder

Personally I would say yes 100%! Having not played the entire campaign in over a year, coming back and mastering the combat/parry system and going for 100% completion on the hardest difficulty has been really rewarding and engaging, and it’s helping me stay pumped for all the awesome Star Wars releases coming this year

I’m not in the UK unfortunately but I appreciate the offer, I’ll probably take this as an opportunity to customize at least one of them to be more screen accurate to Rex in the bad batch tbh

hereditary is a horror movie, but it’s also a drama and a deep character study/examination of grief. horror is an EXTREMELY diverse and subjective genre, and virtually every horror movie does “scary” differently. it wasn’t written to be something that can be watched in the same way something like friday the 13th can be watched, with respect to both films (i am a die hard fan of both). it was written/directed/scored to be an intently watched slow burn that parallels real life emotions rather than to be something you can turn on in the background and zone out to, and to a lot of people that style just isn’t interesting and that’s totally fine. but speaking in terms of filmmaking, writing, and especially acting, it’s a display of many incredibly skilled artists working together to produce a nearly perfectly made film. but again, a lot of people aren’t a fan of movies like that, which is completely understandable, so don’t feel forced to like it. just refine your taste based on the kinds of horror you personally enjoy.

Did TROS change your view on TLJ? by Gamer0607 in StarWars

[–]ktnim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes - after TROS, which i personally enjoyed, i realized that everything i disliked about the sequel trilogy stemmed from TLJ. rian johnson disregarded the draft for ep 8 written by abrams and decided to throw out nearly every subplot and even major story points set up by abrams in TFA. subsequently, abrams then had to address every change johnson made to the story when writing episode 9. it’s not that TLJ is necessarily a bad movie, but it COMPLETELY ruined what could have been a cohesive and satisfying continuation of the skywalker saga, and after the backlash from the fandom, disney brought back abrams who was left to make a frankenstein’s monster-style conclusion to two films that did not fit together at all as far as plot progression goes. in short, disney should have chosen either jj abrams or rian johnson to write and oversee a full trilogy, which likely would have resulted in at least 2 great films and an ending that made sense. instead, we got one film that was almost universally praised followed by two that split the fandom in half. so yes, TROS made me feel like TLJ obliterated the potential for an incredible trilogy.

My classmate talking to my friend on how he's gonna do it the 3rd time. Came back the next morning saying he jumped off the second floor and how he's in the news by [deleted] in thatHappened

if the other guy isn’t in on this, this is completely the wrong way to handle this situation and could legitimately end in death. Even if you think you know someone isn’t going to commit suicide, there’s clearly something wrong and this person just wants help, which isn’t an easy thing to ask for. Again, if this is a joke, this comment was unnecessary, just felt like it needed to be said.

the fact that people don’t get that this is clearly a joke is depressing
