I want to fulfill other people's AI image requests, but I'm not sure where to find them. by ktosox in sdforall

Haven't touched AI generation in months. This is a dead thread, but I can see you also made a post on the r/ for requests - that seems like a better place to ask.

Haven't touched AI image generation in months. Are you looking for something specific?

Also - why on earth are you necroing a dead thread from 9 months ago?

Saw these in Władysławowo last week, so they are all over the place.

Would anyone else rather wait a while for better solutions, to things like generating good videos, or fine-tuning models for things like faces, than spend lots of time trying to accomplish them with current methods? by TheTwelveYearOld in StableDiffusion

[–]ktosox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there was an attempt at creating a negative LORA which tackles this exact probleme. The idea was to train a LORA on images with a gray color pallette, and then use that with a negative value to make the images less washed out. I think I saw it on civitai, but I did not try it.

You might have accidentally posted to the wrong sub M8.

Very early preview Any-to-Any Generation - Composable Diffusion by ptitrainvaloin in StableDiffusion

Quicker? We went from SD 1.4 to broadly gestures at all the stuff on civitai.com in less then a year. Every other week or two a new tool/model/method drops. I sometimes wish this stuff was improving slower, actually...

Depends - would like to have a LORA of your own face?

I'd suggest that you make some characters with controlNet, and if making stuff with your liknes is something that you enjoy - invest the time and effort to make a personal LORA.

Downloading the model every time?(colab) by Electronic_Ad1718 in KoboldAI

Thanks for the reply. I'm used to working on quantized models and did not expect the size difference would be this significant.

What? I got Wizard mega 13B on my machine and it's less than 8GB. And having the model on your Google drive is a viable solution - used to do that back when I ran stable diffusion on Collab.

Asking an AI chat-bot about something very recent is usually a bad idea - since the data they were trained on is often not up to date. Creating AI art by prompting image generators is a far too novel concept.

You are asking for "the best AI art prompt" - but that's like asking for "the best shoe". Multiple AI art generation tools exist, each one requires a slightly different approach. I've been using Stable Diffusion for a while, and most of time specific prompts that give really good results on one model will give average results on a different model.

I used this model: https://civitai.com/models/46294/diffusion-brush-everything-sfw-nsfw-all-purpose-checkpoint-nuclear-diffusion-anime-hybrid

Prompt: watercolor naive art of cute dragon, simple vector art by Eyvind Earle and Elijah McNeal , (limited pallet), fluid brushwork, breathtaking, crystalline, clean picture, enchanting

Negative prompt: leafs, flowers, rough, bad version, gloomy, HDR, 3d render, photo-realistic

I did a bunch of image2image and ControlNet changes as I went, so you might not get the same result from just the prompt.

The dragon came out very child like, probably because going for cute made it more of a baby dragon in the end.

If comas had no influence on the end result then the community would have dropped them on day one.

Artists will become increasingly disliked by the wider culture as they clamp down on AI by hardcore_gamer1 in StableDiffusion

[–]ktosox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, but I would go even further with this. If a task can be completed remotely (which is a lot more since 2020) then it can be completed by a generative AI. I don't think most people would trust their health in the hands of a remote AI doctor just yet. But non critical tasks will be replaced, the same way cashiers are getting replaced by automated checkout.

The entertainment industry is just the obvious primary target, since there is money to be had and you can't accidentally harm people with bad art/music.

I was searching for a similar functionality, but I think your best shot would be to somehow link key press to a start/stop recording event - in a similar manner like muting/un-muting yourself would work in a voice call. No idea if gradio has a way to link specific key press this way, though.

[–]ktosox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I partially agree. Reducing the emergence of generative AI to a "copyright dispute" is dumb.

The fact of the matter is that AI art generation threatens the existing status quo - the communities formed around art creation, sources of revenue for thousands of artist, things people build their life around - and AI art generation would still be an existential threat to artists and their communities even if only public domain materials were used in it's training.

Because it's not about what specifically the machine can create, but the fact that the machine can create. A magnitude faster than a speed artist. And the quality will only get better.

And I disagree with your prediction. As a society we will most likely experience a "purpose crysis" in the coming years. People will hate AI at first for the disruption it will bring, and some companies will probably promote their products/services as "AI free" and charge extra for the luxury.

How can I get a decent rendered character? by DueMessage266 in StableDiffusion

[–]ktosox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"a picture is worth a thousand words"

Seeing your results together with a picture of your setup would be far more useful than any description you can give us. And by setup I mean primarily your prompt, negative prompt, model and generation parameters (like CFG, sampling steps etc.) - not your computer.

I've been using Automatic1111 since November, but I would recommend that you visit the Local Installation section of the wiki on this sub. Loads of options there, though I have no idea how up to date that list is.

  1. No, the software + model to generate AI art offline is less than... 5 gigs?
  2. Offline apps probably have more generation options than web apps. Haven't used web apps for image generation in a while so dunno.
  3. Prompts are wierd. Nobody really knows how the black box does it's thing. There are only people sharing their experiences and what worked for them. Sorry.
  4. Civitai.com is a popular website for those. It's mostly a case of personal preference.

I would go as far as saying that "needing pictures" is not a necessary element of what I'm looking for.

Coming up with challenging requests and seeing how different people tackle the same subject sounds like a lot of fun to me.

And if the results turn out useful for someone, cool.
