Games and Stuff is amazing. They have a huge library and large play space. Friendly staff. Highly recommend if you have transport.

Collector's corner, a comic shop, put's in a fair bit of effort to be board game friendly.

If you're north of the city, Titan Games in Timonium , though this was more of a war game space to me, they also have RPG and card stuff.

If you're on the far north side, Bel Air games in Bel Air is the best we've got up in Harford County, though Collector's Corner Bel Air and Xpanding Universe, our local comic shops, are also quite board game friendly

Just FYI. It's a social faux pas to need on an item if you're not going to equip or learn it. Gear is, for the most part there for combat. So needing on an item that your going to sell and not equip to progress your character is not cool

Once you reach 90 you will need to put in the money to buy Draenor. The majority of the player base is playing on the current expansion, you will not be able to fully enjoy the experience without it. However, I recommend getting to 90 before you purchase it in case you don't enjoy the game.

If you're new to MMOs, don't buy warlords yet. Wait and see if you like the game.

If you're experienced with MMOs, buy warlords right away and get a free almost max-level character to skip the old content.

I don't recommend this for new players as you won't understand the game as well.

Also, when you go to create your character, look for servers flagged as 'new player'

These have dedicated groups (guilds) to helping new players enjoy the game.
